Being local we have experienced the inn on several occasions and have never been disappointed. This visit was no exception. We took my mother to the Inn for supper for her 85th birthday on March 21. The hospitality and level of service were beyond superior. Marcia and Jarvis made it a memorable experience for my mother that she is still... More

One of the best inns we have ever stayed. Food to match and owners were are extremely courteous, professional, knowledgeable, so enjoyable. Wonderful stay. Beautiful, quaint small New England atmosphere. Beautiful area to hike.

This beautifully restored inn is a gem and an easy drive from Boston. The owners and staff were gracious and accomodating, and Potter, the handsome resident golden retriever was an added plus. Everything about the Hancock Inn speaks to successful attention to detail. Don't miss lamb meatloaf for dinner, or corned beef hash for breakfast. Then walk it off exploring... More

Thank you so much for the nice review - especially for the special mention of the lamb meatloaf, which is comfort food as we like it - especially in March! Please come back again soon. Jarvis. More

We stayed for a winter weekend, stopping on the way up at Windblown to cross -country ski on a beautiful day with views of Mt. Monadnock . We stopped at a pub in Peterborough and then headed to the Hancock Inn. We stayed in the bell tower room with canopied bed and fireplace, the doors to the few unoccupied rooms... More

We love to hear about visits that include exploring the natural attractions of the beautiful Monadnock region around us in addition to the interior of the inn. We have an "open door" policy - we leave room doors open until someone checks in and invite our guests to feel free to explore our old building. Every room is a bit... More

This beautiful historic inn, in Hancock NH, is a wonderful spot for relaxation, a step back in time. True to it's history, but without feeling old at all. My room was the Drover's, with a wonderful outdoor space. Common spaces are abundant and very comfortable, the fires stoked. You'll leave the Inn feeling like the Innkeepers are new friends. Talk about... More

We couldn't ask for a better outcome than to hear you'll be coming back for another visit. While we are all eager for spring, there is something special about the congeniality at the inn when the fireplaces are lit and everyone tends to linger a bit longer. Glad you got to experience that and hope to see you when you... More

We stayed at the inn over President's Day weekend and had a truly wonderful time. The food was great (we ate both of our dinners there; the Sunday innkeeper's dinner is highly recommended!) and everyone at the inn was very helpful and accommodating. It was the perfect relaxing weekend. Going in, we worried that the inn's dog Potter might cause... More

Amazingly your white charger emerged from the snowy banks of our parking lot a few weeks after you left and I remembered you looking around your car for one...so we put it in the mail. Hope it still works. I'm glad you had a comfortable trip and got to experience both our full dinner service and the more community focused... More

Fantastic stay. We arrived late, well after closing time. Marcia and Jarvis left out a feast for us in front of the fire. Room was delightful, characterful and comfy. Wonderful breakfast, great dinner - a faultless stay, thank you

Thank you! It was a pleasure to have you here and hope the rest of your New England adventure was equally faultless (if not a bit different, judging from the pictures!). We will cling to the hope you return sometime soon. Very best, Jarvis. More

Wow! This is the dream location if you have ever dreamed about what a quinticental B&B of New England is like. Not only are the owners also the innkeepers and are on site 24-7....but you are also partaking of food that is 5 star! I am a foodie! I got to eat the most mouth watering venison.. I recently traveled with my pug dog Prudence to this wonderful bed and breakfast in New Hampshire. The hosts, Marcia and Jarvis, could not have been more welcoming. There is a fenced in back yard behind the Hancock Inn, complete with a resident golden retriever, so my dog was in seventh heaven! My pug loved running around with the golden!... More

Prudence was a model guest, as most of our four legged guests have been over the years. She might find the yard a little less hospitable right now given the 2.5 feet of snow, but there is no doubting her indomitable spirit. She is welcome back any time (and you with her!) Thank you very much for the nice review.... More

Stayed overnight in the most charming Washington Room. The place drips with historical charm, but yet the bathroom is all 2000! The hosts were charming, the breakfast was incredible, there was an old Peterborough piano in the dining room which they let me play! And their dog Potter has the perfect personality for an inn keeper's dog. Couldn't ask for... More

Thank you so much for sharing your positive experience here at The Hancock Inn. The Washington Room is a delightful one with the window seat overlooking the backyard. We can't thank you enough for playing our piano and adding your own touch to the inn - moments like that are extra special! More
