Reservations are advised, however, we walked in to see what a party of 8 could secure. The hostess was extremely pleasant and helpful, directing us to the lounge area & we were seated after about 25 minutes! The brunch buffet was outstanding. Every kind of fare you could imagine! Breakfast foods, a variety of salads, lots of fish selections, beef,... More

I review every place we stay. I am very critical of poor service or poor location (room). I look for dust, dirt, peeling wallpaper etc. I have said that no place deserves a 5 star rating. WELL, I have been proven wrong. From the moment you walk in, you feel comfortable and greeted at once. Alana (sp) smiled (rare at... More

Even after a decade absence, the Old Salt Tavern remains a rock steady choice for good food and efficient, friendly service. On an unplanned stop I correctly chose the bar for seating and service. Not in a hurry, I split my lunch into two separate orders and two beers morphed into four. I had the lobster seafood stew, a thick,... More

We choses Lamie's based on reviews and the midway location between Portsmouth and Newburyport. It's in the center of Hampton so you have choices of other eateries and shopping. Very friendly staff. Accommodations are clean and comfortable. Surprisingly quiet considering it is on Route 1. Continental breakfast included in the very reasonable room rate. There is also the Old Salt... More

Great food and you won't go away hungry. The Old Salt Tavern and Restaurant is a transplant from Hampton Beach to uptown Hampton. Formerly known as Lamie's, The Old Salt has preserved the best of the old restaurant and has added their own cachet to the venerable location. Run By the Higgins family, The Old Salt has consistently good food... More

Having stayed at Lamies Inn and dined at the Old Salt, we just had to stop for lunch rather than just drive by. She had the warm butternut squash salad and I had the quiche of the day with a garden salad. Both were delicious and satisfying. Oh lest I forgot the maple butter melting on the warm rolls was... We would highly recommend Lamie's Inn as a great place to stay! My wife and I have had the pleasure of staying in most of the rooms at the Inn and they are all very well kept and most inviting. (This past Summer Lamie's became our "home away from home"). The staff is charming...and all this located just a couple... More

My daughter and I were looking for a place to stay after the Jennifer Nettles concert at the nearby Hampton Ballroom Casino. Lamies Inn was three miles away. The inn is a small historic, quaint, colonial inn with an on site restaurant and pub. They serve a complimentary continental breakfast each morning in the pub or you can sleep in... More

I sat in the bar. Started with French onion soup. It was cold. I ordered chopped sirloin med rare it came out kitchen well done. It was returned to the kitchen and a knew one was cooked. They still didn't get it right. Friendly service was not a busy night. No Excuses. This place was recommended to us twice. I... More

We have stopped here on two of our trips to Boston lately. We have found the rooms to be very well taken care of and the staff very welcoming. The room furnishings are quality all the way. The food in the Tavern is excellent and the lounge is busy but not too boisterous.. Morning buffet is a nice change from... More
