I called the campground to make reservations for a weekend and the women seemed okay... until the next time i called and was a little rude but not horrible. Needless to say when we got there she was unbelievably rude acting like i was wasting her time and that she didnt want us there. She also had toys in the... More

I went there with a friend for a week end. We stopped there on our way to Hampton beach because it was on the way and we wanted to check if it was a nice place. The lady at the front desk was REALLY nice and we told her we would be back. When we came back 3 hours later,... More

I am a single dad with three sons. We were looking for a campground near Hampton Beach for the week. Tidewater appears to be a nice campground but after a few days it looses its luster. What everyone has commented on about maintaining walking speed in you car is true. The owner watches through the window all day and yells... More

We returned to Hampton Beach again this year thanks to this campground. We liked it a lot last year and after 10 years not visiting Hampton Beach, it is good to be back. Sandy didn't cause much visible damage to the Hamton area, I think most of problems due to the storm were repaired. We appreciate the quietness and walking... More

My wife and I have returned to Tidewater Campground 16 consecutive years. We have camped in other campgrounds and have yet to stay at one that is safer, cleaner, quieter and more responsive than Tidewater. Yes, there are rules and lots of signage reminding everyone that they are to be followed; however, they are there for a reason. Those expecting... More

My Husband and I and are 3 children have been seasonal residents of Tidewater Campground for 4yrs now. Im usually the one that reads reviews before going to any place to see what people are saying. But now seeing all the negative ones about Tidewater, I will have to make my own judgement on certain places. Tidewater is a safe,clean,family... More

You should believe what you read about this place. There are to many rules, bad attitudes and unhappy campers. The old man on the bike is a wackadoodle and woman in the office is nasty and rude. Campers beware!

we arrived on a thursday at 8 pm, place was like ghost town. the women inside gave us directions to our site, nobody helped after that. As you all know at 8 pm pitch black and no signs to direct us to our site. 15 minutes later we found it. nice quite evening no body around at all... then comes... More

I booked a site for Labor Day weekend 2012. My family arrived and we went in the office to check in. My nine year old daughter was tapping her fingers and Mrs. Shaw snapped at her to stop doing it. She (Mrs. Shaw) seemed extremely rude and unpleasant. Maybe just a fluke? Nope... So I finally get ready to pull... More

Too many rules. Not family or children friendly. Camping is meant to be fun, kids are meant to go meet other kids and play games, etc. which I really didn't see happening here. Rules prevent the fun and noise the kids might make and have. I grew up going camping with my family and we met other kids, played outdoor... More
