this was one of the worst motels I've ever had the misfortune to stay in.....we came to Hampton Beach to see a show at the Ballroom and our usual place was booked solid..we came across the Tides online and they had a vacancy and we took it.This motels hey-day came and went decades ago...as soon as we entered the hot,dank,dark... Decent rooms, nice AC, good off-strip location, close to a fantastic restaurant. Me and the girl spent a lot of time in the room as the day we spent at Hampton was too hot to be out in here and there, so a great place to stay.

This was one of my worst hotel experiences ever. When we entered our room we immediately noticed a smell similar to urine. On one of the bedsheets there was a stain with an actual crust, it looked like the sheets hadn't been washed properly or not at all. When we reported this to the staff all they offered was giving... The Tides is affordable, spacious, frill-free, and one-block's-walk to the beach. My back window actually looked right down H Street to the gleam of the water, and I woke up to the sunrise. Although there is no in-room coffee (*WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO TRAVELERS???* is my plea to the heavens), one can walk down to the Sea Ketch,... More

We stayed there for two nights and it was an awful experience. Room was very old looking and the furniture looked liked it was from a local tag sale. the guy cleaning rooms the second day was not even going to give us towels if we didn't catch him in the hallway. the curtains were all stained yellow and so... Although it is pricey for its age, the Tides is a block from the beach. The room was large and clean, the beds comfortable. There was a microwave and a small refrigerator. At the height of the season, it was a good place to stay.

We have been going this motel for three seasons and we love it. The location is great, right in the heart of Hampton Beach at a reasonable rate. They offer a package on Memorial day weekend which we took advantage of (and at other times of the year), the rooms are clean when you enter and are cleaned in a... More

The location of this motel is great; a block away from the Hampton Beach strip. It is not worth the 100 dollars unfortunately. Mold and mildew in the bathroom, mildew all over shower curtain, "fresh" towels smelled musty, room smelled so strong of old cigarette smoke, curtains were stained yellow, bed was old and rock hard, walls were so thin... We stayed at The Tides for just one night in mid-October while attending our 50th high school reunion. Yes, this is an older motel but the room was very large, very clean and quite comfortable. The bathroom is dated and somewhat cramped and there is not a lot of elbow room. The water was hot and the water pressure was... More

Room 4 had a VERY tiny sink with a shelf built right above it; impossible to wash your face, or even brush your teeth without smashing your head. Carpets dirty, housekeeping actually made the bed with a pillow in the middle under the covers, and just threw the blankets on top of mine, never cleaned the sink, toilet or shower/tub.... More
