I'm typically not a B & B guy, but I thought I'd try it. Stayed at the Libby House for 8 consecutive nights, 9/29 - 107. No in-room television is something to consider. No (very little) Wi-Fi is something to consider. As far as sleeping, you'll sleep like a bear as this is a comfortable place to stay and we... More

We usually don't stay in B&B's, often just too "foo-foo". This was a nice surprise. It's a beautiful home, and our room was very large and nicely decorated. The owner Doc, told us about the area and the history of the hotel, he was very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was wonderful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Libby House... More

Stopped in without a reservation and got the last room on Labor day weekend. Doc gave us the history on the Inn and sent us to dinner at a great pub. Breakfast was charming and we felt lucky to be waited on so graciously.

We stayed only one night, but enjoyed the hospitality of the owner of the house, Doc, and the quiet ambiance. We wanted to see Mt. Washington, an unusual attraction all by itself, and this house was on the crossroads to the mountain. Doc, the owner, filled us in on the history of the toll road to the mountain, which is... More

This is really nice and elegant for this far north. The owner was very nice, made us feel welcomed, I didn't want to leave. Breakfast was great. We will be back.

We just returned from a two day stay at the Libby House. There was nothing awful about it, but nothing wonderful, either. It's on a main street, so we got to hear trucks and motor cycles until quite late at night. Also, the bathroom had a mildew smell, and the shower curtain should have been changed. Breakfast was pancakes on... More

I agree with everything said about Libby's House Inn in the review from July 2006. However, I feel there are some cons to be mentioned as well. Note that the previous review describes the best room in the house, while all rooms seem to cost the same. Although all rooms have ``private" baths, our bathroom was not inside of the... More

My wife and I stayed one night at the Libby Inn en route to the mid-Maine coast. It's a lovely old house, furnished with antiques and charm. I felt like I was stepping back in time into my grandparent's home. There are but four guest rooms, three of which are on the second floor. We were fortunate to get the... More
