The room was very nice - antiquated, but nice. It was very reasonably priced when compared to Stowe, Okemo, Killington, etc., and Cranmore is literally right down the street. One of the worst places I've ever stayed. I booked a package for my boyfriends birthday. It included champagne, a fireplace and a dinner at the restaurant on sight. The Bernerhof was exactly what we were looking for in a country inn...authentic and charming, gracious hosts. We had Room 2...very cozy and quiet, facing away from Route 302. We would stay at the Bernerhof Inn again. The Inn is cozy with a very friendly, helpful staff. Scamp, the bartender at the Inn's Black Bear Cafe, was witty and charming. My wife and I stayed at the Bernerhof for three nights in October, 2006, during the fall foliage season. Overall we enjoyed it, but we also have some reservations, particularly considering the abundance of other accommodations in the area. Lovely people, very friendly and helpful staff. Our room was the GoldenWood, which is the one just above the canopy on the Inn’s website. Very large, nicely appointed, with windows facing in 3 directions. We could have invited another couple to share the bed.
