We stayed at the Gunstock on our second stop on our New England vacation. We stayed 4 nights. I saw some reviews before I booked I wasn't expecting grandeur. This Inn has great potential. When we first pulled up I said to myself oh my what did I do. The outside needs a paint job. In front of the restaurant... More

Inn is quaint and rooms are spacious and clean. Would definitely stay again if in area. Staff helpful with directions to local restaurant. If you want to be out in the woods this is the place for you.

Tried gunstock for our yearly meadowbrook getaway.I tried to feel the quaintness of the building but I didn't get the vibe of the rustic timbers in the building. The saver in the first evening was the people , service and food in the tavern. My girlfriend and I were going down the hill to a favorite watering hole but peeked in the... Quaint and Rustic Charm. Could be considered "dated" but it is a historical building. The owners continue to work on updates all around. Our room was clean, no complaints there. It was a bit confusing to get around, no signs for how to get to the second floor or the beautiful pool. Also, no coffee out for guests until 7... More

Where do I begin. This hotel had the most charm I have ever seen in one place. The rooms were beautiful. The staff were friendly and attentive. The views were to die for. And where do I begin about Schuster's Tavern, The food was amazing. Definitely try the pork wings, there is nothing like them anywhere else. I also had... More

First, we're not the kind of people who expect to be pampered when staying in a hotel, motel or inn. Nor are we all that particular about amenities. Normally, if there's pool for our son and a fridge and microwave in the room we're happy as clams. So what can be said about Gunstock Inn & Resort? First of all... More

I stayed here when I was in town for a half marathon. Based on the reviews, I was not expecting much. However, I was very pleasantly surprised. I was on the second floor (I don't think there is an elevator so keep this in mind if you have trouble with stairs). The room was very spacious and comfortable. I appreciated... More

Tiny room with cluttered feel; the most uncomfortable bed in the world; random pole in the middle of the room to hog what little space might have been available; low ceiling for that extra-special feeling of claustrophobia; thin walls; creaking floors/doors/everything; dirty mirror and windows, making my wife and I wonder what ELSE might not be regularly cleaned; TV and... Very affordable! We had a room for four that had 2 doubles (one in the loft), couch, rocking chair, bath & small fridge. Great view from room 108 with floor to ceiling windows. However, curtains only on the bottom 1/2 and the bed across - very bright when the sun came up! We had dinner at the inn one night,... More

We recently stayed three nights at Gunstock. We booked through kayak for three weeknights and our average price was $58; a great deal!!! The weekend rates were much higher. If we would've paid that rate, my review would not be as good. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our room was a basic room with a double bed and... More
