Fred and Sandy are wonderful hosts. From the moment I walked through the door I felt at home. I have stayed in many B&Bs and this is among the best experiences ever! And the hospitality is equal to none, we wanted for nothing. The full breakfast each morning was large and delicious. Fred served his fruit "special"of the day. Each... More

Been B&B-ing for 25 years now --USA, Canada, Scotland, France-- and The Maria Atwood Inn, our last-minute-find as a stop-over returning from Quebec, now becomes a top-of-the-list favorite for us! This house is beautiful! --the attention to architectural detail and authenticity given by the owners is commendable. Choosing a favorite room could be difficult as each has its own appeal;... More

If, in addition to the all these stellar reviews, one needs any more encouragement, we can add that these delightful hosts pointed us to a very pleasant Onions Pub/ & Restaurant a short drive away, with its friendly crowd and ambitious chef. A lively Italian restaurant with bountiful menu was also recommended. Minutes from the B&B is a spectacular dam... More

What a nice review! Thank you. Reading your review gives us a different perspective on guest visits. We have become too accustomed to the fun things you referred to, but you are so right. The area is rich with attractions and activities that really do change with every season. We thoroughly enjoyed your visit as well. So did "Moonie" -... More

Had a most enjoyable stay a this welcoming B&B. This is a beautiful old home and our room was spacious with everything we needed. Spotlessly clean and comfortable beds. Dining room was so inviting and breakfast was excellent especially the different scones each day. A very large back deck was a great place to end the day with a glass... More

Thank you for your positive review. We are certainly pleased that your stay was enjoyable. The Fall season was a good one for us all this year. Often rain clears the deck and the trees very quickly. It held off nicely this year and we are very happy you were able to enjoy it with us. Yours truly, Sandi &... More

We just returned from a delightful 4 day stay at The Maria Atwood. Sandi and Fred were just wonderful hosts. They were friendly, welcoming, and great to talk and visit with. It seemed that every time we left or returned to the Inn one of them was present to greet us. The inn is beautiful and comfortable with spacious rooms... More

We very much appreciate your kind review. Your stay was an enjoyable one for all of us! Listening to your adventures as you went out touring from the Inn was exciting for us to hear. Such appreciative guests at the breakfast table makes cooking special things fun. Best regards to our Southern Friends! Sandi & Fred More

Three Cheers first, for the warm and welcoming hosts who set the tone for this beautiful, old home. Sandi and Fred have put so much love and thought into what it takes to make guests feel comfortable and "at home". Other reviewers shared about their being fun, warm, caring, welcoming, etc. and I could not agree more. Just sorry I... More

We could not have asked for a better experience! The Maria Atwood Inn lived up to it's reviews and then some! The Maria Atwood is a great location in central New Hampshire to explore the Lakes Region, Sunapee Lake area and picturesque Lincoln, NH without having to move. There is summer theater in New London and multiple covered bridges nearby to the west, the sights of the White Mountain area of Lincoln 50 minutes to the north, and Lake Winnipesaukee and... More

Sandi and Fred were great hosts. Super clean room, great breakfast, good location. They made you feel at home right away and catered to my gluten free diet. Would highly recommend if you are competing in ironman timberman race or want to stay in lakes region.

Guests affiliated with the Timberman always seem to be special people who are fun to visit with. You were right up there in the ratings and we thank you for choosing our Inn to be your base of operations. We hope for the pleasure of seeing you for the next race (or sooner of course)! Best regards, Sandi & Fred More
