The Inn was warm and inviting with an extremely relaxing atmosphere. And the history of the house was fascinating. The inn keepers (Fred & Sandy) treat guests as if they were inviting them into their home and Sandy makes some of the best scones I've ever had!

We stayed 3 nights at this wonderful B & B. We have never been as catered to or cared about as much as we were here. The fabulous homemade breakfasts, all the little extras, it was as if we were family come home to visit. No question the best one we have stayed in yet. Thank you so much Sandi... More

We appreciate your kind review. It was a pleasure hosting part of your visit to the "States". If it felt like family, it well may have been (at least remotely) through some of the old Scottish lineage we seem to share. Thank you. Sandi & Fred More

A B&B of brick! This meticulously maintained inn boasts a quiet country setting and rooms decorated with interesting antiques set off not by the usual overdone busy wallpaper/border combo, but a nice cool light suede paint. The spotless baths & cozy living room with large wrought iron accessorized fire place make this an extremely comfortable home base for NH day-tripping.... More

This is a charming inn, lovingly cared for by its owners. The rooms are all exquisite and truly cared for. Breakfast was a yummy full homemade hot breakfast and shared with the owners! Lively conversation and a splendid way to start our day. I would highly recommend this inn and would stay there again. Very reasonably priced and comfortable, clean,... More

Thank you for the nice review. We very much agree with your comments on the conversation. Hopefully the next time our conversation will be about the positive changes we were talking about. Now that you know where in NH to avoid poison ivy, your next visit should be less eventful :) Best regards, Sandi & Fred More

My daughter and I spent two nights at this delightful inn. Inn keepers Fred and Sandy have over seventeen years of perfecting their B & B skills. Sandy stayed up to welcome us on a very late arrival. In the morning we were drawn from our comfy beds by the aroma of eggs and sausages and homemade scones. And there... More

It was fun for us to enjoy your anniversary with you. The time of year gave us space to enjoy your company like friends as much as guests. Thank you for your visit! Regards, Sandi & Fred More

Fred and Sandy are wonderful hosts. From the moment I walked through the door I felt at home. I have stayed in many B&Bs and this is among the best experiences ever! And the hospitality is equal to none, we wanted for nothing. The full breakfast each morning was large and delicious. Fred served his fruit "special"of the day. Each... More

Been B&B-ing for 25 years now --USA, Canada, Scotland, France-- and The Maria Atwood Inn, our last-minute-find as a stop-over returning from Quebec, now becomes a top-of-the-list favorite for us! This house is beautiful! --the attention to architectural detail and authenticity given by the owners is commendable. Choosing a favorite room could be difficult as each has its own appeal;... More

If, in addition to the all these stellar reviews, one needs any more encouragement, we can add that these delightful hosts pointed us to a very pleasant Onions Pub/ & Restaurant a short drive away, with its friendly crowd and ambitious chef. A lively Italian restaurant with bountiful menu was also recommended. Minutes from the B&B is a spectacular dam... More

What a nice review! Thank you. Reading your review gives us a different perspective on guest visits. We have become too accustomed to the fun things you referred to, but you are so right. The area is rich with attractions and activities that really do change with every season. We thoroughly enjoyed your visit as well. So did "Moonie" -... More

Had a most enjoyable stay a this welcoming B&B. This is a beautiful old home and our room was spacious with everything we needed. Spotlessly clean and comfortable beds. Thank you for your positive review. We are certainly pleased that your stay was enjoyable. The Fall season was a good one for us all this year. Often rain clears the deck and the trees very quickly. It held off nicely this year and we are very happy you were able to enjoy it with us. Yours truly, Sandi &... More
