This is a great campground if you are looking for a campground with lots of people around. We stayed in July of 2013 after hiking Mt. Garfield. It is in a beautiful and easily accessible location. The coin-operated showers and bathrooms are well maintained. There is a small store to purchase necessities. We had a pleasant campsite along the Pemigewasset... More

Stayed 6 days August 2013. They are right in the middle of the Notch, so within 5 minutes of Cannon mtn, Echo lake, the basin, Flume Gorge, Kancamaugus ramp , and Mt. Pemigewassat (may have spelled that wrong) Lonesome lake trail starts in the campground, and the bike path runs through as well (which itself leads to the basin ,... More

The campsites were closer together than I thought they would be, but people were respectful of others. There are bathrooms, showers, and a small store where we ended up having to grab a few last minute things that were overpriced but needed. The staff was strict and organized about keeping food and trash locked up, which I truly appreciated since... More

Be aware that sites are small - we have a pop-up camper that was extraordinarily difficult to get into our site. You are in the beautiful White Mountains, so do not expect nice level roads or sites. It was very noisy, you can hear traffic on route 93 all night long. Expect a bear siting in the evenings.

Took a long weekend with my family and had an absoltely awesome time. The staff was great, the showers were clean, and so was the camp ground in general. Very easy to get too. Really great hiking trails and more. Overall a great experience. Definitely going back next year.

We got into the campground much earlier than 1pm check in time which was great! We stayed at campsite 30 and had a secluded driveway short but secluded and had no neighbors on either side. The bathroom was close as we're the water wells. The campsite was fairly big and we enjoyed our time. The bathroom aren't really clean but... More

Nice little gem. From the moment we walked into the country store we knew we picked the right campground. Very friendly folks working the front desk. Thanks for all your help. I had mixed views from all the post talking about not sleeping due to the trucks at night, We had no problem sleeping. that wasn't an issue for us.... More

This is a very nice campground and close to all the Fraconia Notch attractions. The park rangers were all so nice and helpful. The only issue we had with this campground was that Interstate 93 runs right past the campground. Our site was far back from the road and we still woke up all night as tractor trailers drove by.... My husband is through-hiking the Appalachian Trail and I decided to join him (in the evenings) while he hiked New Hampshire. I chose this campground because of its convenient location. I made online reservations, but when I arrived, the "Jeffs" behind the counter recommended that I take a look at some other available sites since the one I chose was... More

Lafayette campground is very well located on I-93. You can acess many trails from the campground or drive a short distance to go to lakes, grocery store or gaz station. It is probably the best place to stay if you want to hike mount Lafayette. It was my third time there and I really enjoyed it. Campground is clean and... More
