We had wonderful home made full breakfasts and a charming home filled with antiques. Our hosts knew the area well and were able to give me updates in the area I called home for my school years. The gardens are beautiful and the location is quiet and convenient to the entire Monadnock Region. Since there are only 3 well appointed... More

Carole and Ken went out of their way to make us feel at home in their house which is about two hundred years old. You can either eat breakfast at the main table indoors, or else on the back porch where you can watch birds, squirrels, and chipmunks taking their turns feeding in the garden. Some of their food is... More

In traveling all over NH, my wife and I ran the gambit of price and value regarding the available B&B selection. This place set the high bar. Everything was just about perfect, the host had taken care on all the necessary amenities while leaving the rustic appeal of their house unmolested. The personalities of the hosts was also perfectly in... More

My husband and I planned a week-long stay in the Monadnock area as a vacation-anniversary-househunting trip. Not wanting to schlep all the way from Nashua which had the basic chain motels, or head there from Keene, which is, well, too collegy for us, we opted for a B&B. To be honest, I did not check tripadvisor ahead of time. I... More

Stayed for just one night en route from Manhattan to the White Mountains, but we wish we could have stayed more. The owners were very hospitable and helped us with advice on where to eat dinner, provided us with maps and guide books to look at. The bedroom was lovely and large with antique fittings and a raised platform bed.... More

Just got back from a wonderful weekend visiting our son and daughter-in-law who live in Keene. Didn't realize it was Keene State graduation weekend but found The Ashburn House had availability. We were going to be doing some cross country skiing at Windblown and we were looking for a place to stay. We found the Ashburn House on Windblown's web site. After doing a little research we decided to book our stay at Ashburn House. We were not disappointed. When we got to the house we were greeted by Carole and... More

Carole and Ken were extremely generous hosts, in offering us and another military couple a free night's stay over Veterans Day weekend. We were very happy with our stay. The house is beautiful - with a lot of history and very well maintained. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful. As soon as we arrived, Carole greeted us warmly, and... More

We are hiking the M&M (Metacomet and Monadnock) trail (now called the New England Trail or NET) from the CT shore to Mt. Monadnock. The Ashburn House is perfect for those hiking the last 4 sections! Our room was spotless and the bed comfortable. We were spoiled with a home made (yes - not from a mix!) warm chocolate brownie... More

We found the Ashburn house to be very special. To start --the house is over 200 years old and the owners have kept much of that historical charm through out. That is very important to us. And the breakfast was delicious and the presentation was top notch. Ken and Carole was very welcoming and a joy to talk with. We... More
