Our first visit to the Exeter Inn met all our expectations and then some. Our room was completely satisfactory with very adequate but not overwhelming space, a very comfortable bed, and good light for reading (a rare amenity nowadays). The only drawback was a bathroom so tiny that one had to slip between the toilet and the sink to close... More

My boyfriend and I had been feeling pretty stressed about the fast approaching purchase of our first home. So we decided to slip away for a night. I booked it through Priceline and I'm never sure what kind of place you'll get. The pictures were nice, so we arrived expecting something so-so. This place is gorgeous! I mean...it's so beautiful... Stayed five days for a conference, enjoying the close proximity to the center of town, the congenial staff and quality appointments. Quiet building--it had a lot of people staying in it while I was there, but one could hardly tell. Easy decision to stay here next time I come back.

Stayed here the weekend of June 13th. It is within a 10 minute walking distance of the train and downtown, so did not need a car! The room was very cozy (Standard queen) but quaint. Shower and water pressure were strong. The TV had a ton of channels, much more than a standard hotel. would stay here again. Has that... More

I was in Exeter to visit some friends and we stayed at the Exeter Inn. The staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. Wonderful experience! I would definitely come back to the Exeter Inn! Great rooms, lovely restaurant, and overall good time!

In April I was married at the Exeter Inn. The staff was phenomenal as was the food. All of my guests raved about the rooms, the food, and the overall venue. The staff was more than accommodating! It couldn't have gone better even if it hadn't rained that day! Sherri our wedding coordinator/the sales director was helpful in every way.... More

We have had four one-night stays at the Exeter Inn in past two years. Each time we have had outstanding service, amazing meals at Epoch and the beds & bedding are top notch. We have stayed in a different room every time and have never had a complaint. We find the inn and the town charming, relaxing and comfortable. We... More

We stayed this past weekend while attending a local wedding. The Hotel was very clean and comfortable with a friendly and competent staff. We had breakfast on Saturday morning which was very good and reasonably priced. The Inn is close to Exeter Center, and the March weather cooperated enough to allow us to tour the Downtown area. I heartily recommend... More

Puttyj_9, We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you when the weather turns warmer. We are only 9 miles straight shot on a beautiful scenic (slightly winding) New England road, from the coastline and Hampton beach. Or perhaps in the Fall when the leaves turn a beautiful hue of red, orange, yellow and golden brown.... More

We just stayed this past weekend for a wedding that took place at the Inn. The whole Inn was gorgeous. It is clear that it had been recently renovated, and it was modern and comfortable. The wedding reception took place downstairs with fantastic food, dancing and fun. When we returned to our room on the 2nd floor, we could no... More

EllyAnneB, Thank you for your kind comments. When we renovated the property we sought to create an intimate, warm and casually sophisticated environment. To uphold a tradition of hospitality long vanished from today’s impersonal, cookie-cutter, chain hotels. As you noted we have beautifully appointed rooms and suites with the perfect mixture of classic style and modern luxury including spa-inspired bathrooms... More

We chose the Exeter Inn based on previous TripAdvisor feedback and we had one of our most successful parties in over 20 years! It is a lovely drive to the Inn; there was a surprise snow storm so the views were spectacular arriving as well as driving back home. Our check-in was a breeze and the front desk offered up... More

MiaVa/, I cannot express how much we appreciate your detailed glowing comments. We are very fortunate to have inherited a location nestled in the heart of historic among stately old growth trees and lush lawns and gardens surrounding the Gazebo you enjoyed in a mid winter snow shower. What we believe sets us apart from all others is our ability... More
