Lovely old New England atmosphere, fresh cookies every afternoon! Very spacious room, well appointed, comfortable beds. Only two issues. Lighting is, shall we say, subdued, we elders need a bit more brightness. They gave us a room with shower only without telling us, we prefer a bathtub. Restaurant was very good indeed.

Staff was accommodating, friendly and Guest focused. Front desk person, Cindy, was everything you would want that position to be. Wait staff was friendly and caring. Even the maids were friendly. Room comfortable. Cookies, chocolates and water really made the visit more special. Did I mention great value? Awesome value!

What a beautiful inn. We stayed here unexpectedly while passing through New Hampshire; what a lucky find. It was architecturally stunning, clean, and welcoming. Our room was comfortable and while not overly spacious (I think we got the last room available that night), cozy and polished. The lounge, dining, and patio areas are to die for!

I stayed here twice this winter as a result of getting some treatments at Exeter Hospital. What a treat! It's a beautiful historic inn in the historic district of Exeter, a charming and classic New England town. The inn is just a block down from Philips Exeter Academy, one of the best (and prettiest) prep schools in New England. The... More

I have stayed at the Exeter Inn many times. Though there are many other options to choose from, I keep returning to the Exeter Inn for many reasons. First, the staff is wonderful. They are friendly and always remember my name and my favorite room. Second, the rooms are lovely with period details and comfortable beds. Finally, the food is... More

We stayed her in February 2015 after a nearby wedding. We needed three rooms for 6 adults. The rooms were cozy but not too small and we were given one upgrade to two double beds at no cost when one part of our group needed separate beds. Turndown service was a nice extra and the bedside chocolates were a nice... More

We stayed at the Exeter Inn for three nights in November 2014 and had a wonderful stay! Our room was clean, bright and nicely furnished. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I stayed here because the company booked this room for me. I loved my stay. The room was so cute and clean! The only thing that could improve is the hot water, could have been hotter, but it was still fine. I ate at the hotel restaurant and it was so good as well. Would come back for sure for... More

It was our (wife and myself) first time to Exeter and we were so impressed and intoxicated with this lovely little town. We didn't plan on staying but found the Exeter Inn, had a drink from their cocktail menu, a bight to eat and ended up booking a room! The Bartender was having such a blast proudly telling us about... I am writing mostly to praise the Exeter Inn's marvelous and helpful staff. They are exceptional in every way. I stayed at the Inn the weekend before Christmas this year; the place was beautifully decorated and appointed. The lobby also smelled heavenly, full of the season. I had brunch in the restaurant -- it was excellent -- and the cookies... More
