An inn doesn't get any more charming than The Three Chimneys Inn. Very romantic, with a four poster King sized bed, huge armoire, large beautiful bathroom, interesting roof lines. Our room did not have a fireplace, but we will request one next time, as we will definitely be returning. We had dinner at the upstairs restaurant and that is not... More

The inn was exquisite. The photos online are gorgeous but it's even nicer in person. My boyfriend and I were looking for a place near Portsmouth,NH because we were going there for an event. Since it's been a long, cold winter, we really wanted a fireplace and were surprised that it was not possible to find this in Portsmouth. I... More

Spend one night here as a quick get away. The lobby, halls, and main dining room need much updating . The oriental carpets need cleaning. One could not help notice the carpets were covered with remnants from the drive. The chairs in lobby need replacing; and the hardwood floor in the main dining room needs refinishing. It does not have any... More

We spent last weekend (March 2014) at the Three Chimneys while my husband worked at the University of New Hampshire. Our room was lovely--great gas fireplace, comfortable bed, and good-size bathroom. The staff was terrific--to name a few: Brenna, our friendly and professional waitress; Laurie at the front desk; Elaine in the Tavern; and several other very helpful people. Everyone... More

We live in Upstate New York and our son lives and works in Durham, NH and had suggested we try the Three Chimneys Inn as an alternative to staying in the big box chain hotels in Durham or Dover. Last weekend was our third time we have stayed at the Three Chimneys Inn and we haven’t been disappointed yet. We... More

My husband and I stayed for one night very recently. We had room 9 in the Carriage house, which was recommended to us by the Inn staff via our phone conversation when booking. We also paid for the "February" package which included a $75 dinner voucher at their restaurant, full country breakfast, champagne, chocolate covered strawberries, a flower arrangement and... More

We stayed here during the Ralph Page Legacy Weekend at UNH in January. The place wasn't very busy. Our room was on the third floor of the carriage house - be prepared for stairs. The decor is very New England Inn, large 4 poster bed, two big old-fashioned cabinets - on with TV and coffeemaker and the other for clothes.... More

Have know about the Three Chimney's Inn for many years,my relatives live in the area. Was excited to be staying here for an overnight in early summer, visiting the area for a relatives birthday celebration. We also treated the relative to a nights stay. Upon arriving at about 830pm that evening we were shown to our room in what you may... More

We lived very near the Three Chimneys Inn for many years and ate in the Tavern several times over the years. We moved away a couple of years ago and returned recently for a local visit. we elected to stay at the TCI for a few reasons, location near family, the very nice country Inn where we could bring our... This is one of the oldest inns in the USA, and the rooms are magnificent (with little touches like a Jacuzzi separate from the bathroom, and gas fires in real hearths). The service is first-rate, the bar is a gem, and the breakfast is custom made. You will hardly ever find such a comfortable place with such fabulous service and... More
