This region is packed during peak foliage season so it was great to find a place just minutes off the "Kanc" that offered serenity. The cabins are exactly as advertised: wilderness cabins. No phone service, no wi-fi. The lights are propane and the kitchen is stocked with all the equipment you need to fix simple meals. Everything was clean, simple... More

My daughter and I were on our annual mother/daughter road trip through New Hampshire when we spied the sign for the cabins. We had our two dogs with us. The owner was so accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. I have never seen so many stars in the sky EVER. I would love to go back in warmer... More

Four days of nature, relaxation and tech-free. Great location in the White Mountain Forest. Could not think of a better location as a home base for fantastic day hiking. Cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Simple and back to nature ....a little slice of heaven. Never before have we seen such beautiful night skies. No phone service and... More

My wife and I and our 4 year old had spent a night with our friends at a campground in the area. We headed out the next morning to find another campground for some alone time. While we were driving it began to rain and looked like it wasn't going to let up. My wife started browsing through her phone... More

Stumbled across this place on Labor Day weekend. When we pulled up we were greeted by a very friendly young woman. She told us to take a look at the cabins to make sure we were happy with them. Let me tell you, we were more then happy with the grounds and the cabin look. Everything was very clean. If... More

Location, location, location... Wilderness Cabins are conveniently located in the heart of White Mountains (the only place off of Kancamagus Hwy) with Lincoln 22 and Conway 10 miles away. We've traveled for the "Foliage" Columbus Day weekend and can't think of another place, that would suit are needs better! Rustic but very clean cabin (sleeps 4) in a quiet setting... More

The exteriors and thus the pix on line were beautiful which is why we sent in our deposit. But once we stepped inside......it was a cross between the Bates Motel and a homeless shelter. We got back in the car, forfeiting the Deposit and sent an email suggesting the owner use it toward buying furniture that isn't tattered, frayed and... More

If you are looking for a private, quiet, romantic get away keep looking. If you want to experience a New England storm power outage then maybe this for you. There is electric and running water but only twice a day for about an hour (if it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down). The cabins are old... More

If you're looking for an affordable, very quiet, very relaxing retreat, this is the place to stay. Wilderness Cabins generates their own power for only a few hours a day, so most of the time you're without all the buzz and hum of flourescent lights, electrical gadgets and appliances. You'll never realize how much noise they make until you get... More
