Very disappointed!! Promised it was a great site for family and dog, got there only to find the site inbedded with glass, due to a past very angry seasonal person. Staff did come and rake up majority but still all in the dirt! Not safe for a dog I can tell you that, had to constantly look around for glass!... More

We have been camping for years in the New England area and this was by far, the worst experience ever. We were next to seasonal campers who were loud and obnoxious. They partied until 1 or 2 am and when we respectfully asked them to quiet down a little - our kids were trying to sleep, they were rude and... More

The overall experience was amazing. I was amazed by the view of the lake and to see all the kids having fun. The staff was friendly and hard working, always making the camp a better experience. The store has all you need to make the trip amazing. I will be coming back to this campground every year.

We had a lovely experience camping at Pine Knoll. The staff was friendly and kind and I felt the facilities were clean and cared for. We had site "0" which was like a small Island! It was surrounded by a babbling brook that lulled us to sleep every night! Even though most of the campground were seasonal people I found... More

The only good thing I experienced was a hot shower. they were as clean. Bathrooms did not have toilet paper in them luckily I bring my own as I am a hiker and had some for my trail hikes. I had site 3B a tent site. No privacy. I took a look around the campground there wasn't any site that... More

We love Pine Knoll, this campground has no frills but the price is great and location amazing. We are a family of 6 all the kids under 12 and we travel with three other family's, we return to Pine Knoll every year. The kids can be kids and run around and have fun in the playground with out being yelled... More

Beer can in the weeds at our site, cigarette butts, band-aids. Tent site was large gravel (rocks), super-uncomfortable. Bathroom was wet and dirty. Really nasty. Run-down. Construction taking place at campground: bulldozers and such. A fairly unpleasant stay.

This campground cares little for the peaceful serenity of being at the lake. Extraordinarily loud music on the beach with someone squawking in a microphone. It is totally unnecessary on such a small beach. No lifeguard. understand why they have the rap they have. If you are looking to be in the quiet peaceful woodlands forget about this place. They... Staff friendly but facility not up to the standards we'd found at other campgrounds on our vacation. Nearby bathroom needs updating, never had soap in men's room, shower was "not yet turned on" even though it was Memorial Day weekend. Something was said at check in about one shower area or the other turned on, they couldn't remember which, and... More

It is a bit sketchy as you enter the camp. The staff were friendly, appreciative and helpful. It's a fairly big layout with various sections and a large ball field in the center with a playground and bb court.. The staff leave you alone and don't bother anyone. It seemed to us to be heavily populated with permanent campers. We... More
