We stayed in a dog friendly cabin at the Zephyr Cove Resort for the first time last summer. They had a very nice restaurant and little store on site as well as a fun little bar area by the beach. Dogs are not allowed on the beach but you can walk them in the wooded areas. It felt like our... More

Good location in cabin #8 ... 1 bedroom cabin with lake view and patio. We enjoyed our stay for 2 nights (Sunday & Monday in late August 2015). Beach was not loud or crowded as some reviewers say but then again it was a Sunday & Monday stay. We actually found it very quiet especially after sunset. Cabin #8 was... More

We stayed in a cabin and it was very nice but the experience we had with the front desk folks while checking in and checking out left a horrible feeling.. they were very rude! I understand it is the end of the summer and they may be tired of people but they need to remember they are the first impression... More

It is a okay camp site. Had a small black bear visit at night time. The beach across the street provided easy access. We only stayed 2 nights with friends and family. 1st time stay at this campsite. The bathrooms were decent, but not great. Prefer hotel stay versus tenting and lugging all the tent and sleeping bags. Overall it... More

The resort is something like a 100 years old. Great location with a beautiful (public) beach. We stayed in one of the cabins. They are old but remodeled (probably within the last 5 to 10 years). Very small bathroom and kitchen with a reasonably good sized living room. Definitely reserve a cabin with a deck; some of the small cabins... More

We tent camped here for 12 days. We were lucky and got a nice spot that was semi-secluded (#44). Some of the tent sites are in clusters and have really close neighbors. We had a walk-in site, so you have to park in the lot and walk in to your site. FYI there is quite a hill you have to... More

We were driving from Sacramento to Reno and decided to detour around Lake Tahoe. It was so beautiful we decided to look for a place to spend the night but not at a casino. We ran across this place and the cabins between the tall trees looked inviting. We were tired from driving so accepted the price which was comparable... More

July 17, 2015 - My review is for the Beach/Recreational area. We did not stay at this resort or RV park. I would classify this beach as a party beach, lots of young folks and loud music. My teenager wanted to come here to meet up with an old school friend so we left Sand Harbor beach up north of... More

I decided I should write a bit about the RV Park for those new to the area. First, it is an older RV park, not a new resort. We love it here but it's not for everyone. To my knowledge, it's the only park in the area with full hookups available. We prefer the "premium" sites for the extra space... More

The setting is perfect. Right on the marina, lots of great people watching, rentals, etc. However, the service at the bar, in particular a rather rude bartender, negated the whole experience. Next time, we will be sure to bring our own supplies to avoid having to belly up to the bar for a drink. The prices were as expected, just... More
