What a great find in Winnemucca! Having spent many nights in chain hotels since retiring and hitting the road my wife and I decided to try some of the mom and pop places in our travels. It has been an adventure and at times a crap shoot to find a decent place for a reasonable rate. Well, the Town House... More

I wish all my hotel/motel stays met this high standard. Just what we needed for overnight. Comfortable bed, clean, off Main Street for quiet but walking to everything. Pride in service makes this property endure. I liked the picture of sheep over the bed-yes slept good.

We found this small hotel years ago and return every year on our way to Idaho. The rooms are nothing fancy, but they are very clean, and quiet, just perfect for an overnight stop. There is no breakfast included but the Griddle down the street serves a great breakfast. This is not a chain, but a locally owned business. The... More

We often travel from Boise to San Francisco by car. We like to divide the drive into two parts at least one way. The only problem is trying to find a hotel in Nevada that does not have gambling or smoking. Even if a hotel has a no-smoking section, we still have to pass through a stinky casino to get... More

I actually stayed here in June 2013... This quant little motel was perfect! Clean and friendly. I'm so glad for tripadvisor because this place isn't right now the "main road"...but located close to everything! This locally owned motel has an awesome story...just talk with the owners and they will tell you all about it...they are so friendly and helpful. Perfection...

Very clean, good for 1 night. TV old style, the room is cold when you 1st arrive. By turning the heat on it takes awhile to warm up. No complementary breakfast which brings the price up if you are considering buying breakfast out. As I said very clean and quiet.

There are hundreds or old retro motels along what used to be US Hwy 40 before the Interstate bypassed the towns. Without some inside information, it is difficult to know what you are in for. We only gave this place a chance based on Tripadvisor ratings, and we are glad we did. The Town House in Winnemucca is a gem;... More

We stay in a lot of hotels/motels on semi-annual road trips. This find in Winnemucca was perfect. Walking distance to what we needed-dinner, laundromat, and breakfast. Clean, friendly, and easy to find. Our time there was definitely a 5--however, if our neighbors had stayed awake and outside chatting late into the night, the noise would have been a problem. They... Have stayed here several times in the past few years. It is always very clean, cozy and quiet! It is close to everything and the people in the office are very friendly. Love the pool in the summer. Not Smokey like the casinos in town.

Never judge a book by its cover. The property is off the main drag. At first glance your see the age but as you peer closer it is a well groomed and very clean property. It is old school but that is just fine. Parking is a bit tight. Was greeted with a friendly smile. The value is solid. The... More
