We spent the night there on 1/2/15 based on the pictures on their website and promise of "newly renovated" rooms. When we checked in we were given a room in a dingy back corner which was run down and filthy. When we returned to the desk to complain, we were upgraded to a remodeled room for an additional charge of... More

I looked for an email address so I could address a sensitive topic with the management. I was unable to find anything except this e-mail forum. I am asking the management to contact me in private so that I can discuss this problem without having it publicized in a public review. If I don't hear from management I will submit a... More

We stayed here as our reservation at another hotel was lost. Red Garter has rooms on the weekend for only $45/night. We asked if they had a room available, but they only had 1 room that was non-smoking and it was a newly remodeled room for $87.00. We grabbed it. When we first walked in, the room looked beautiful and... More

This was without a doubt the most disgusting place I have ever stayed. The smell of stale onions and other unappealing odors permeated the halls. Unfortunately I had made the reservation sight unseen and arrived after midnight and on Saturday night there was no where else to sleep. I slept in my clothes because the place was so dirty. There... From the neurotic yet friendly front desk clerk to the terrible beds this place is a DIVE. The first thing the clerk said when we walked up to the desk at 11pm was that we might not have a place to stay that night because half of the hotel had flooded that day. Fortunately (or unfortunately) our room was fine,... More

Don't even try to think of this place and the Vegas Strip at the same time! It's an old motel. But you get what you pay for. When I have stayed it's been very quiet (and empty). Same for the restaurant and casino. For a place to pull in, get some sleep, and then get up and get going, it... More

This is at best a 2 star hotel. The rooms needed to be remodeled years ago. They all seems like they have been smoking rooms at some point. The linens are thin, worn, stained with cigarette burns on the bedding. Overall, do not commit to this hotel until you have seen the room where you will be staying in.

The owners have spent loads of money refurbishing the casino and putting a new facade on the Red Garter. But that is the extent of the renovation. The rooms are still poorly managed, with flat mattresses and smell of smoke (even the non-smoking rooms). It's too bad they didn't go the extra step to create a better environment here. As... More

Thought that the Red Garter would be revamped inside and out considering the time they took to renovate! The inside is still the same, nothing to write home about. Not worth the money to stay. The casino is very smokey and drinks are hard to come by. I asked for a drink and never saw the waitress again!! played video... More

We had chosen the Red Garter as the Motel/Casino that we wanted to stay in on our trip to Wendover and the Bonnevile Salt Flats. The motel was not able to confirm that we had a room until just a couple of weeks before our trip began due supposed renovations. We had a view of a wall several feet away... More
