We got our room and it was pretty unclean, we were disappointed to say the least, to their credit, the hotel did shift our reservations to its sister hotel the nugget where the rooms were much cleaner and the overall feel was better.

I have supported this hotel for over 31 years. I was going to stay tonight and arrived at 1300. I was advised there are no rooms tonight unless I pay the normal room rate. This hotel has always served the trucking industry well until now. Like, Elko unless it's during the week you are treated like a shmuck. I won't... More

Suppose you are driving Eastern Wyoming to Northern California in a snowstorm... West Wendover is a good stopping point when you are tired. Maybe next time we will shoot for Elko instead. It is a casino. Yuck food in the casino restaurants. The room was large, clean, with standard amenities provided in the bathroom. It was a non-smoking room, but... More

Admittedly, there are some people who will look at the price of this hotel and think "what a great deal" and there are others who will want to spend the extra $ to stay somewhere else. This was my experience. The room was clean and remodeled. The bed & pillows were "fine". They weren't great, weren't bad either. The rooms... More

The rooms are spacious and clean. (We did find a used bandaid by the door). My elderly parents stayed there and had no troubles there. The hotel is pet friendly; however, there was a dog a couple doors down that would not stop barking while the owners were out of the room. The price can't be beat! The coffee shop... More

This was a convenient spot to stay as we headed out of Salt Lake City to tour the Salt Flats and national parks of Utah. Room was clean, seemed like it was remodeled not that long ago. Rooms are on the small side. Bed was comfortable. Over all a very good value, half price compared to the Peppermill and Montego.... More

Went here to eat and gamble. The service in the restaurant was horrible and they were not that busy. Forgot our appetizers, salads, drinks, brought everything finally at once. The food was ok at best. On the floor, don't expect someone to bring your drinks, you have to go get them. Not a lot of incentive to remain there, no... More

Generally rooms are nice and most remodeled, however, the front desk sent me to a room that didn't exist. I had to carry my luggage back to the front desk and the front desk staff was actually annoyed with me! Seems they hate their jobs. The remodel was nice but now they need to remodel the staff.

The wait on remodel was worth it. yes the price went up but the rooms are 1000% better. the purchase of the Red Garter by The Nugget has been well worth the wait. The reason it is still average is 1- all the good front desk staff left and went to The Nugget. The staff now barely speak English if... More

What used to be a dingy, well worn and tired establishment has really spiffed up with the remodel of the past 2 years. While my king bed room was a tad small, it was newly decorated, had a comfy bed, good a/c, new granite double sink, tile bath, 42" LCD flat screen, and decent wifi ( a bit slow). The... More
