We were passing through Wells, Nevada one evening last summer. We were getting anxious to find a place to stay. The road was loooong to the next town. We thought we were stopping at a place that was saved only for the most desperate, however we were very wrong. This is a very old, 50's style roadside motel. It appeared... More

I love funky old motels and usually enjoy staying in them. The reviews for this motel were great, so we were looking forward to staying. Check in was okay, the gentleman was grumpy, but tolerable. Our room was dated, which I expected, and a bit grungy. The carpets were stained, the bathroom wasn't dirty, but it needed tlc. We were... More

The kindest, most hospitable older gentleman runs this motel. We just needed a place to lay our head down and this was perfect and priced well. Free Wi-Fi and Direct TV. Immaculate bathrooms. The next morning he had a handwritten note on the office saying, "Stop in, I made coffee!" So charming.

I'm more inclined to camp than I am to stay in motels/hotels. Bad weather compelled me to abandon plans to camp in the nearby Ruby Mountains and stay here for a night instead. The room was cleaner than many budget chain motels I've stayed in, and blessedly quiet save for the rain and thunder rumbling throughout the evening, and the... More

From the outside it doesn't look like much (nor does anything in the town, really). But open the door to the room, and it's like coming home. The bed was perfect, everything was white-glove clean, there's plenty of room, and despite being an older property, the room had all the amenities normally found in independent motels these days (micro/fridge, fast... This is an old motel. We had a clean bed and bath with lots of hot water. Gentleman checking us in was a kind old character who made coffee in the lobby in the morning. Two long trains went by right outside our window but otherwise it was fairly quiet. All inclusive $45 made it a value that exceeded expectations.... More

While this very old place cannot be compared to costly 4 & 5 star hotels, it definitely met ALL my needs and senior budget. After 10 hours on the road, I found Epsom salts at the Dollar Store and had a good soak in a very clean tun with instant hot water. There was a frig for my travel food... More

Very nice welcome from a kind man in the front office. Great rate and coffee in the morning. Room was extremely clean and large compared to corporate "standard" rooms. Wifi, heat, a/c, cable tv, refrigerator and microwave all included. I spent a comfortable, safe and charming evening!

My husband and I have now stayed here three times and have never experienced a single bug bite. As I am very sensitive to bites, that would be a game changer. This place is not fancy but has all the basics covered. Yes, you can hear the train. I will stay here again.

We booked this motel based on price, location, and reviews. When I checked in I noticed the office reeked of cathe urine. The owner was a crotchety old man who asked when I'd be checking out. I told him by 9 am. He said "my housekeeper starts at 8 so let's make it 8:30". 8:30?! If he was in a... More
