From the time I e-mailed the Inn to the time we rode off this place was kind, friendly, and quiet. A very nice clean room. I really could not find any negatives about the room, except maybe the bathroom paint and the need for a "proper" finish touch, ohh and the tv was a very tiny little box, but who... More

Booked for short trip to Nevada and never dreamed we would be staying in such a delightful place. The room, the James Flood Room, was clean, bed very comfortable, and easy access. Women take a hairdryer. The staff, Leisa, Pat, Michael, Alexa, and Sierra absolutely outstanding!! Leisa knows so much history of the area of Virginia City and most of... More

Staying in the Jim Fair room. This room is perfect in every respect for my wife and I. Had dinner on the premises tonight. The dining area is a knockout with hints of the old. A nice gathering of people with everyone enjoying themselves. We had the Duck - gourmet meal at a fair price. Every one of the staff... More

I didn't know when booking, but this B&B is actually comprised of multiple buildings which allowed for more privacy. We stayed there for St. Patrick's day, but it was still nice and quiet. We didn't get a chance to eat breakfast, as we were in a hurry to get home. The service was excellent and I would definitely stay there... More

We arrived slightly early for check in but were invited by the owner to sit in the garden and taste his homemade beer until his wife returned. This was a lovely way to spend a hour or so. Stayed for 3 nights and were not disappointed. We were in the Jim Fair room which was very clean and comfortable. We... More

We arrived early on our 31st wedding anniversary and were accommodated nicely even though we were there 3 hours early. We stayed in the Jim Fair Room; a little small, but very clean and comfortable. The innkeeper was gracious and gave us the best recommendation for a nice, mid-week meal in Virginia City. Wish the small restaurant on site was... More

After reading so many positive reviews, we were excited to spend a night at Edith Palmer's during our summer road trip. We stay in many small hotels/motels each summer, and often enjoy the uniqueness of each one, as well as the typically friendly service provided by these types of places. We were not expecting the amenities of a big-box/chain type... More

Virginia City began in 1859 after gold was discovered in Gold Canyon. It was settled on the south face of Sun Mountain and the greater area became known as the Comstock. The deposits of gold and silver have encouraged mining of the nearby hills and canyons for over 150 years. There is no other reason that Virginia City continued existing,... More

We stayed in the James Flood room at the end of February. The room was immaculate, and well decorated with period furniture. The only problem we had was the very uncomfortable bed. The breakfast the next morning was excellent. Coffee in the room would have been appreciated. The owner was very informative and helpful. Would stay again, only would have... More

This is a really nice B&B within a few short blocks to the main street in Virginia City. The rooms are very clean and updated in older historic homes. There are a couple of houses on the street which is part of the B&B. There is a small resturant on site. I did not eat there so cannot comment. However,... More

Beautiful B&B. Great breakfast. Friendly, helpful owners. Quiet and comfortable. This is an old town. Rooms in Virginia City are smallish but mine at Palmers was beautiful and quite adequate. Hey, it's a wonderful town with lots to do. So, are you gonna sit in your room? You can get much cheaper rooms downtown. Friends who have stayed there complained... More
