I stayed one night at the Jim Butler and found it highly satisfactory. The price is higher than the low end motels in Tonopah, but the quality is worth it. This motel is good for a night or two. We stayed one night and had no problems. The staff was great , rooms are average, beds ok, on the small side for comfort for the three of us. I've stayed here before, and probably wouldn't pick any other lodging in Tonopah. It's economical, clean, comfortable, located in the middle of the historic downtown, a short walk to shops, restaurants, post office, library, etc. The rooms are spacious and have microwaves and fridges. We stayed at this motel on night of 6/18/04 after traveling across the Nevada desert on our way to Lake Powell. This is a bargain in that we had a large room with two queen beds and motel is within walking distance of restaurants and shops. It is adjacent to the now closed but soon to be reopened Mizpah Hotel.... more
