If you want or need to save money the price is right. The room was clean and roomy. Great coffee in the morning. And a plus free wire fi. We stayed in Tonopah so we could visit the Gemfield. I prefer not to spend alot on a room, as long as it is clean I can sleep anywhere. If you... More

The excellent service of the woman at the front desk earned this place the extra star, otherwise it really is a one star. Despite the really poor reviews, our crew of 5 geocachers were staying two nights in two rooms here while completing the epic ET Highway mega trail and trying to save a few bucks along the way. I... My husband and I drove through Tonopah on our way through Nevada. By 10 PM, every hotel had a "No Vacancy" sign in the window. The last option available was the National 9, and we weren't expecting much. We discovered a mining expedition was occurring in town and the hotels were hosting extended stay folks and their families/pets. The staff... More

Arrived at 5 PM after a long days drive with a reserved booking only to find the reception office closed. A hand written sign said "closed will return at 7 PM". After I advised a motel worker of our need to check in, she said someone would check us in soon. After about 30 minutes, a clerk and and the... More

It isn't new but very clean and the bed was comfortable. This was the first time in a while that I didn't have to use the Febreez. We have stayed in more expensive rooms that were "non smoking" and were not so fortunate. Nice people! We look forward to using this facility again

I'm not a stranger to budget hotels but it was a stretch to rate this what I did. I rated this average due to the fact that the staff was very nice and accomodating. The property itself is in need of repair. The beds were adequate but the towels were a bit threadbare.

The bed was comfortable, and the drapes kept out most of the light from outside. Bring a can of Ajax, a scouring pad and Lysol. If you plan to stay more than one night, bring your own towels, don't throw away the plastic drinking glasses, take out your own trash, and make your bed. No one is going to do... More

The bed was missing a leg, the bathroom doorknob was broken, the faucet had only hot water, there was no smoke detector in the room, only one clear channel on the television, the heater only worked if the temperature was set on high, and the overall cleanliness was questionable. The stay in this facility was cut short and continued in... More

don't understand all the complaints. it was late, i was dead tired & all i wanted was a comfortable bed and a good night's sleep. national 9 cost a third what the best western was charging, the bed was great, it was blissfully quiet and the staff were the friendliest folks i've ever seen behind a hotel desk. yeah, the... I cannot understand these negative reviews! we stayed here 2011 october. Clean well appointed rooms, helpful friendly staff. We couldn't have asked for better!! If we ever find ourselves in Tonopah again this will be our first port of call.
