My husband and I stayed at the Mizpah hotel and loved it from the moment we walked in the door! The lobby is beautiful -- Victorian charm, a FABULOUS bar, antique windows, lights, etc. There is a neat gift shop in what used to be the hotel vault! The registration was smooth. We called from the road and Lyndsey, who... More

We took my wife's parents to the Mizpah for their 60th anniversary and, oh my, the staff outdid themselves! Personal service, lobster with asparagus, champagne and a fabulous cake that the chef made on the premises. The manager and our server tended to our every need and added a fun factor to the whole evening. This is a grand hotel... More

We did not stay a the Mitzpah as we have a home in town. However, we were excited to see that the Mitzpah Hotel was finally rennovated and reopened. And what a job they did. One of the most beautiful places we have been in for a long time. We first ate at the Pitman Cafe when the Mitzpah first... More

We stayed here on a three-day drive from Prescott, Arizona to the Oregon Coast. We had previously stayed at the Best Western as Tonopah doesn't offer many choices. This was definitely better than BW for about the same cost. It is fun to stay in a historic hotel. The restaurant, however, was having a less than stellar night. It was... More

Wonderful renovation to this charming hotel in an old mining town. The amenities are all 21st century but the feel of the place is more like early 1930's. The bar is grand but inviting. The adjacent restaurant had good food and service. The rooms were charming and comfortable with excellent linens. Our room was on the 5th floor. In the... More

Our first time at the Mizpah Hotel. I read a write-up in AAA's "Via" magazine. Loved the quaint room and bathroom (nicely updated and equiped). We only stayed the one evening on our way to Las Vegas, which was helpful with our kids. The hotel's restauant was well staffed and was an extra treat, making our short-stay more comfortable than... Do yourself a favor and step back in time at the Mizpah. Built in 1907 and restored to its original grand grandeur. It's a rare experience in a world of chain cookie cutter lodging. It's reasonably priced in today's market. And the staff all take genuine pride in this grand lady from the gold rush days. Many celebrities have been... More

A friend and I traveled from Central California to Great Basin NP Nevada and spend the night at the Mitzpah. This is an over 100 year old hotel which was recently renovated and modernized. Walking into the lobby was like taking a step back in time. Luxurious 1910s decor and 1940s music greeted us. We stayed in a 2 bed... More

I didn't stay, (I stayed across the road at Jim Butler for 2/3 of the price), but I did eat in the Pitman Cafe. Service was VERY slow, the food was indifferent at best and though I ordered a glass with the meal, it didn't come until I had almost finished my main course. When asked about the meal, I... More

No it was not perfect but the hotel did try to make it right. We just had a 'Murphy's Law' night. The staff was great, the room was great, up until the morning all was great. I had called on Saturday and told the lady at the desk that I had had open heart in March and needed to make... More
