I have stayed in Tonopah on several occasions. I was there when the Mizpan Hotel was a hulking empty remnant of the past & had the pleasure of watching it come to life over several visits. It is beautiful! Not sure if the ghost really visit but on one occasion one of the staff I came to know would NOT... More

Absolutely enchanting stay. So much history. Excellent dining in the hotel restaurant. We arrived mid day and stayed one night. The town is rebuilding around the hotel. Microbrewery near by. I swear it is haunted. The lights turned on in our hotel room without help. We had the BEST time ghosts or no ghosts!

My wife and I have stayed twice at the Mizpah on trips through western Nevada. The beds and sheets are so comfortable, I recommend staying just to enjoy a good night's sleep. The rooms are clean and nicely updated, and the hotel lobby has been lovingly restored to its historic splendor. The restaurant is not fancy, but serves great food... More

Stayed at this hotel overnight and loved it. It is a wonderfully restored historic hotel. The rooms are very clean and the bed really comfortable. The staff is also pleasant and very helpful. Definitely worth the stopover. I would certainly recommend it.

We stayed in the Mizpah two nights enroute to and from South Lake Tahoe, California. This is a great hotel in the middle of the Nevada desert. The Cline and Jacuzzi families of done a fantastic job of restoring this historic hotel with beautiful and very nice antique furniture in virtually every room. The onsite restaurant is very good and... More

The Cline family of Sonoma California beautifully restored this historic hotel. The furnishings and fixtures are from the period when this hotel was in it's prime. Our room was lovely with high quality linen and all modern amenties. The Jack Dempsy dining room is only open for special parties or holidays. The Pittman Cafe is the least impressive room and... I was in Tonopah for a day and stayed overnight at this hotel. It's like going back in time – the furnishings did decorations I just fabulous. The staff is very friendly. It also has a bar for cocktails. The bed was very very comfortable. I opted for the economy queen bed – the room was tiny but all I... More

Wow! A diamond in the desert! We stayed in an awesome, beautifully decorated, extra large double queen room. This hotel has so much history. The current owners have renovated this national historic registry hotel back to it's original style as it was back in the "hay-days" of the silver boom. The Pittman Cafe, on the lobby floor, had excellent food... More

Tonopah town has long since faded from its glory, but nthe recently renovated Mizpah hotel in the middle of the town would argue against that. We were passing through on an industrial tour of Nevada, and for the few previous evenings we had stayed at bland chain hotels. But teh Mizpah is totally different. With retro (but new) furnishings in... More

Stayed here to take the Otteson's Turquoise Mine Tour located in the hotel. The restoration is lovely and the staff is the greatest! I had heard of the "haunted factor", so we asked it we could stay in or next to the "Lady in Red" room. But, she didn't bother us at all. Bed was comfortable, but the bathroom is... More
