This is my second visit to tonopah it's the halfway point to Reno from vegas. The staff here were nice and the room was clean. It's not the newest or a Hyatt by any means but it serves the purpose. The hotel actually lost water during the night and the hotel refunded our money. I would recommend this place just... More

I stayed in this hotel because it looked fun and interesting, but once in the room I saw why it was so cheap. Dead bugs, moldy bathroom, ripped up carpet, non working tv: the works. And to top it all of, a pipe busted while I was sleeping, flooding the entire room and soaking my luggage. Waking up at 1am... More

I have never stayed in a place like this. Worn out carpet needs a paint job bad. Internet didn't work good and was a little noisy. On a positive note the heater worked, bed was ok, the TV worked and it had a refrigerator.

What more could one want? Clowns and an old graveyard? Quiet and friendly. Bob the owner is a gentleman. At the price the rating is excellent. Otherwise, average. If you have a phobia of clowns, that is, clown figurines in the lobby, clown paintings over the beds and if the thought of clowns does not remind you of that funniest... More

The unique motif for this motel was the most appealing part of the place. A lot of work has been done to keep this place presentable, but it still needs some improvements. Otherwise the room was clean and I had a good night's sleep. The people were very friendly and communicative. Recommended cheap place to stay. Right on the main... More

I heard about this place and had to seek it out while I was on a business trip in Santa Monica. Yes, it was a 7 hour drive but that was part of the fun. I arrived after dark and a nice lady in the office checked me in. Loved seeing the clown collection they have on display. It's creepy... More

This place is a hoot! It's painted bright blue and has a clown motif throughout. The room I had was huge, one of the largest my entire two-month bike trip of the western states. The room was clean, comfortable, and reasonably priced. I stayed two nights and found the motel and its guests to be full of local flavor. The... More

I chose this motel on a lark, but I would stay again if I'm in the area. After a 600 mile day on two lanes, I was really ready to crash. I had made a reservation for this motel several months previously and confirmed two weeks previously. When I arrived, the owner obviously had been waiting for me. Check in... More

I have to admit the room is very clean BUT there is plywood covering a hole in the bathroom, some type of duct tape to keep the furniture from peeling, the rug needs to be stretched, one wall needs a coat of paint, etc. The only thing keeps this place from getting a terrible rating is the theme of this... If you need a place to sleep in Tonopah, then do consider the Clown Motel. The room is large and clean but definitely needs some attention, i.e., there were large pieces of plywood over holes in wall (I'm assuming there was a water leak in the shower at some point) and a coat of paint would not hurt. That said,... More
