The Ridge Tahoe is 25 years old!.....And it shows. The place definitely needs updating. We're from Sacramento, CA and this was the first time staying on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. The pros for the Ridge were that it is right next to Heavenly's Stagecoach Express lift, beautiful mountain views (no lake view), and the jacuzzi tub in the... More

I'm from Northern California & had to "use or lose" an exchange week, got a 2 Bedroom, 2 bath unit at the end of spring break at the Ridge. Was concerned by some of the reviews, but was pleased with our stay. Check in went well, condo was spacious and clean. We were in the Terrace building (limited cell reception)... More

We had a two bedroom in the Naegle Bldg 11, right next to the gondola. We thought the accomodations were very good and clean. The only rooms that were outdated were the bathrooms, and the kitchen. The beds were very comfortable and the bedspreads and linens were very nice We were told that this bldg was the most updated compared... More

We really enjoyed our stay here over New Years Eve, although it may not be for everyone, being a large out of town resort. We found the cheapest booking price to be direct: http://www.ridgetahoeresort.com/ridge_view.html Ski pass tip: We got a large discount by booking ahead from the UK with www.skisafariextras.com which also covered other resorts in Tahoe if you have... We had a 2 bedroom condo in the Cascade building. It was huge (compared to European standards) & well equipped. The beds were comfortable, but the sofa bed was reported to be uncomfortable. The decor was fine, only very minor wear & tear. The staff we interacted with were friendly enough. Don't eat in the on site restaurant - it's... More

My wife and I stayed at the Ridge Tahoe in January 2008 for a week of skiing. The property is nice but our "studio" apartment was nothing more than a very small hotel room with a microwave oven. Fortunately, we were able to move to a one bedroom suite that completely met our needs. I recommend the Ridge Tahoe but... More

The Ridge is a complex of different buildings. This is very important when reading these reviews because you could be reading a review from a different building than where you will actually be staying...yeah, kind of difficult to explain. Me and my fiance stayed two night at the Ridge. We spent our Spring Break here in Lake Tahoe. Awesome place... More

Very good hotel with spacious rooms and complete services. Great views and very nice people. Very near to ski lifts. A great place to stay with your family.

Heavenly Vacations is to blame for this lousy hotel choice. First, the location is bad….taxis don’t want to drive up to this part of the mountain. So if you’re a tourist that doesn’t want to drive in the snow…stay away….the staff even acknowledges that if you don’t have you own car you’re in bad shape. Second the concierge is slow... More

We stayed here for 7 nights over New Year 2007-08 having come for the Lake Tahoe ski-ing. At a first glance the hotel looked to be isolated but we came to love the location - there are the options of the private Gondola down to the StageCoach lift or the direct hotel shuttle. Initially we would have preferred to have... More
