Windy as heck in the afternoons, but hey, you're on a actual ridge of a mountain top. The views of Carson Valley are simply beautiful. You are on the other side of the ridge from Lake Tahoe, so don't expect a view of the lake. What's wonderful is that they even have a shuttle tram to the ski resort lift... More

We had a business meeting over several days so we didn't get to enjoy the amenities a lot. However, the infrastrucutre was quite nice. The rooms have a decent size and everything works. They were strangely warm during the afternoon but at this altituged, that goes away. The food which was provided was nothing extravagant but filling and of decent... More

We stayed here with our 3 month old in a deluxe room last week. The hotel is at the top of Kingsbury Grade, right next to the Stagecoach Express at Heavenly Valley. Quite far from casinos and probably a better place to stay in the winter if you enjoy snowsports. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is... More

My husband and I came to The Ridge for our anniversary. We were actually kind of sad that we didn't book the trip for longer. Everything about this trip was amazing. Nina at the front counter was very patient with us, and so sweet. Cris at the spa and recreation desk was beyond nice and told us about all the... More

The wife, college age son and his girlfriend stayed here for a week mid August. We had been here before about five years prior, and this time again we had a great time. Our two bedroom unit in the Plaza building overlooked the Carson Valley and was nicely renovated. It is true they do not have air conditioning in the... More

Perhaps Ridge is best suited to a winter stay where you can ski to and form your condo directly. In summer, it is hilly, so hiking, cycling, etc required a big downhill trek, followed by a big UPHILL trek, no appropriate for seniors, and kids. Roads are poorly market to and from the resort. The little convenience store is not... More

This was our first trip to Tahoe and our main reason was for a family wedding. Thanks to GPS, we found our way to the resort. We had a basic hotel room for 2 of us while some relatives with families stayed in 2 bedroom suites. Our room was very basic, with views overlooking the parking lot and road. We... More

The rooms are very large with many options should you need to eat in or out. The resort has a lot to offer for all ages. We enjoyed the 6:30 movie offered nightly as a family when we were looking to relax. They offer beginner and aide rock climbing which is fabulous!! The instructor was so patient and knowledgable I... Checked into the hotel and looked at the room that had supposefdly been recently remodelled, it was old and had obviuously not been remodelled for several years. The manager offered us another rooim to look at, opened the door and thje smel of cigaretes and cigar smode was overpowering, even though it stated on the door that it was a... More

I stayed here with family this past weekend in a two bedroom suite. Pros: clean monstrous bathrooms with full large tubs and separate walk-in shower; two sofa beds-one in living area and 1 in second bedroom; sleep number beds; full kitchen and a kitchenette; several property amenities including indoor/outdoor pools and hot tubs, gym, and barbecues. Cons: it is a... More
