I have to admit being a little worried by the reviews on this site but when i arrived to check in it was a polite and efficient process. The public areas were all clean the staff from comp girls to cleaners were also polite. The room was clean and of a good size, maybe a little dated, limited TV channels... more

I loved staying at the Horizon. It was spotless clean at any place I was in the hotel. The employees were very helpful. The room was excellent and the bed was very comfortable. As I read about other peoples experiences I wonder if they lost a lot of money there or is it from another hotel in Lake Tahoe that... more

we got a room with no heater, immagine the cold subzero with no heater, we complained to the front desk, they brought us a little portable heater, for a room that has no air circulation, this is already against city codes, next morning me and my wife had sever headache, went to front desk and complained, she said the heater... more

I was not expecting too much from this hotel, but anyway it was a terrible stay. I made the reservations through the hotel website and I regret I didn't take a look before on tripadvisor. The hotel is old and also the casino. When I made the reservation they asked me U$ 59.00 but when I arrived there the price... more

This hotel has very basic rooms with no amenities besides a TV. But if you ask, they will deliver a coffeemaker and small fridge. The hotel is clearly aging, but the staff (cleaning and room service) go above and beyond. The hotel will charge taxes and "resort fee" on your room each night, so add about $12 to your nightly... more

Where to start with this hotel! We arrived late after a long and tiring drive from Napa and went straight to our room. We noticed that there was some dried vomit in one of the corridors on the way there. Once we were in our room we noticed that the walls were damp and water appeared to be dripping onto... more

Me and my girlfriend just went to gamble here after choosing to eat lunch at there cafe. Needless to say, the casino floor was a ghost town. We played at a $5 table, and the dealer was huffing and puffing. My girlfriend was a little slow placing a bet, and the dealer dalt her out. We immediately left. I hope... more

We had reservations for 3 nights starting on Sept 23. We checked out early after the first night, and found other accommodations. I'd never stay there again!! The room temperature was pre-set at 78 degrees. There was no way to cool it down--via thermostat, or the staff at the desk. We were told they could do nothing about it. We... more

My mother and I stayed here because it was the host of the marathon events, and we got it for nearly nothing through an American Airlines Vacations package deal. We knew from the reviews that it wasn't a very nice hotel, but we were willing to give it a try for the price. We ended up with a smoking room... more

Looked promising in reception area, but our room in Aspen Tower was very tired, basic and needed redecorating. Staff were not helpful/friendly and not at all interested in improving our stay in any way. Pool area was closed - ie you could sit out in the rather pleasant pool area, but you had to sit on the floor. This was... more
