I attended a conference that was hosted at the Nugget and was terribly underwhelmed. The West Tower has not been renovated, yet the hotel services folks claim it has the best views. The Nugget hotel/casino is always a pleasant stay. The common areas are very clean, the rooms bright and well furnished, and all hotel services are excellent. This is a casino which allows smoking you never quite get away from this smell. To get to any of the restaurants you have to walk through the main gambling areas. The rooms were adequately appointed. This hotel and casino have been around for 50 years and they do some things quite well. Other things cannot be helped and a few things just come with the territory.
