I purchased a Groupon special for this resort and found afterwards I had selected the wrong day for our arrival. I called the Nugget's customer service line and explained my mistake. They quickly changed our reservation. I was so relieved. We found our room in the Nugget to be clean and spacious. I enjoyed the adult only morning pool hour.... More

The room itself is alright, and the bathroom is nice, however, all rooms are either next to the freeway or next to the railroad yard. The first night my husband and I were in the east tower next to the freeway. The noise was unbelievable, and neither of us got any sleep that night. We requested another room on the... More

The down part to the hotel is the proximity to the freeway, but we really did not notice the noise. The up side is it is convenient to the freeway, and everything else. We have stayed in many hotels in Reno, and this is now our favorite. It is being remodeled and updated. We stayed in the East Tower, which... More

This place is good, it has all the amenities, indoor pool, restaurants bars, and lots of gambling. The place is a bit outdated but under new ownership and being renovated. There is a new sports book and a new bar and according to them lots of new things coming. The rooms are outdated on the West Tower but big and... More

My daughter and grand daughter came to visit 4th of July weekend. We were offered a great deal by the reservation girl and to also stay in the revamped east tower. We were in room 1619 - the air conditioning hardly worked. Power went off briefly. The cable went out for a bit. My last day there the hair dryer... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights on our way from Los Vegas to San Francisco. The rooms were in excellent condition, very big and very clean. The staff was very friendly and very helpful. They assisted us in every possible way.The athmosfere was very peaceful although the hotel is so big. The fee was fair although it didn't... More

Went to Reno/ Sparks for a few nights. Stayed in 2 different rooms at the Nugget. Both nights were in the Premier rooms. Rooms were spacious and had nice flat screen TV. The 1st night faced the train tracks and with air on did not notice anything. The floor was a bit loud with other guests for a softball event... More

My Mom and I needed somewhere to stay in Reno after a small family reunion there. I searched online and happened upon what appeared to be good reviews of the Nugget. I booked a 'luxury' room with 2 beds. The base price was so low that I was prepared to not like the room and just leave, even if we... More

I felt like I walked into my Grandma's guest room. The room was neat and tidy with everything in its place. The staff is friendly and Gilly's restaurant had good food and a nice environment (except the ladies in the bikinis). We stayed in the west tower. All I can say is it's time for an update!

My first room was 2629, a corner room in the East Tower. I couldn't get the room cool, so I started trying to change rooms on the morning I checked in. The front desk was so short staffed and overwhelmed that I couldn't get through to anyone. Finally, they answered and told me I needed to speak with housekeeping and... More
