Our family received a promotional flyer in the mail as Reno residents. So, I booked a room for $7.77 (!) just for fun and to use the pool. I didn't want to upgrade to the new Sierra Summit rooms, but our entire family was shocked at the appearance of the room. we received. The carpet had stains, the beds looked... more

So, this place is supposed to be a "resort"? Maybe because we booked our room through Hotwire we were placed in one of their "lesser" rooms, not really sure about that, but, the room that we had was in dire need of repair. The bed sagged, the furniture looked as if it had been purchased from Goodwill, and the hallways... more

We were here because my wife had a professional conference at the hotel, so we ignored the casino scene. There were two queen sized beds and the one we used was comfortable. The room was huge and seemed clean and well maintained. If features like a large-screen TV (plus one in the bathroom), a marble shower (with glass doors), and... more

This hotel does not care about guest who are staying here. They have this Pool party on weekends that will blast music all the way until after 2:30am. I'm staying on the 11th floor already, and it is still so loud. Bacially, about 25% of the hotel room faces the pool side. You can be as high as 20th (talked... more

Took my sister there for her 60th B'day. Rooms were the same old decor that has been there for 20 years. Beds were hard and the sheets stopped 8 inches from the bottom of the mattress. That is ok if your 5 feet tall, but my feet kept getting tangled in the sheet. The gambling was a complete blood bath.... more

I got a one bed room and the room is so big I was getting tired just walking back and forth across the room. Even though the room is big, it does not have a coffee table or couch or anything of that sort. Well at least there is a small frig. Because of the size of the room, everything... more

We checked out at midnight it was so bad. Our room was on the 8th floor on the same side as Nikki Beach. The music was so loud at Nikki Beach we could hardly hear our TV without turning it way up. We eventually dozed off only to be woken up at midnight when Nikki Beach cranked up the volume... more

We went for the cheap $7.77 dinner buffet at the GSR. It was our first time going as locals. Being so cheap, the line was a mile long and we waited almost 45 min in a smoke filled casino. It was Friday so what do you expect. The food was ok but overall everything tasted dry from the fried chicken... more

We stayed for a week from 6/7/08 - 6/14/08. Had a room on the 16th floor with a king size bed. Room was ok. Bed wasn't the best or worst. Housekeeping did a great job keeping the room serviced. We did have an employee try to get into our room one day around 4pm for an "occupancy check". We hadn't... more

I tempted my husband for an Anniversary weekend getaway by telling him how delicious the buffet was going to be.. It was a Friday night and we live a little over an hour from Reno. As we drove to the hotel we talked about and wondered if it would have crab, oysters, what cut of beef etc. As we arrived... more
