There is a very bad restaurant problem existing at this point. The Sundance is the only eating place there. On top of that the menu has become very limited. They didn't just add new things, which would be fine, but they eliminated all of our old favorites, i.e., the French dip, carnitas. Come on guys, we are on vacation and... more

I have stayed here a few times before and the lodging was ok and the fact Cabellas is next door is a good reason to stay but not after my last stay in June. I requested a non smoking room and got a smelly smoking room. The intenet cost $11.00 per night and that is half of what I pay... more

The room was average - being tired after a long day visiting and traveling we had a good night's sleep. Expected that since we were to tired to eat that night. I went down to the first floor to Starbucks for coffee since it's been a while since we did that. Upon my return, I found my wife had to... more

Stayed two nights. Easy reservations, easy check in. The room was clean, although dated. They are in the process of remodeling. The bed was really comfortable. No phone book or hotel information in room, but other amenities ample. And the employees were very nice but curt. Seems they never smile. All-in-all a good stay. The only real drawback is it... more

So, our first clue should have been that when we tried to book our room online, that page of their website was down and we had to call for our reservation. Haven't done that in years.... Check-in was marred by perhaps the least friendly, worst informed (no idea which bank of elevators was closest to our room) clerk I've ever... more

We were in town to visit family and decided staying in a hotel was the best option. Two rooms were booked for almost a week- both king beds. We were placed a room apart on the 2nd floor, directly across from the pool doors. This was a concern but the pool was the least of our worries. The previous reviews... more

The staff was absolutely amazing! Everyone, from Hotel and Beverage staff, to Table Dealers, Floor People, and Security. This property is truly the real deal! Great people, good food, and a home town and friendly feeling. I'd recommend Boomtown to everyone. more

This is a 1 or 2 star hotel. The room was dark and very dated. The bed was horrible. I would never stay here again!! more

We just returned from a 2-night stay at Boomtown. We booked a 2 Queen bedded, non-smoking room and that's what we received. No complaints there. Check in was fast (less than 5 minutes total). The only complaint we have about this hotel is both pools were FILTHY. The indoor pool was closed the second day, supposedly for cleaning, but when... more

I've stayed at Boomtown for years now and haven't ever been disappointed. The restaurants throughout the property aren't anything to write home about, but with so many other nearby dining options, this has never been an issue. Boomtown is about a 10-15 minute drive West of Reno in Verdi, NV. There is a property shuttle that takes you back and... more
