We had a late night Saturday flight into Reno and decided for convenience to stay a night before we headed to South Lake Tahoe. I choose The Sands because of the $44 room rate. Of course, as in every hotel anymore, when we got there we had to pay an additional $14 resort fee. I hate these and find them... More

Only spend 1 night. Booked and paid on Hotels.com. 833 Rooms. Once you get to the Registration desk, they change the price, claiming you MUST pay "Resort" fee for free WiFi, and they will not let you book. The Collect $8300 a night for "Free Wifi" by calling it a mandatory "Resort Fee". THIS IS NO RESORT. Manager told me,... More

Had to call security to quiet down the room neat to mine. Then the junkies and drunks had a party in the hallway. I gave up and got 2 hours of sleep. Filed a complaint with security, and motel desk. Asked for a refund, and was offered a free breakfast. I'm now waiting for the GM to return my phone... More

Me and my husband stayed for two days, first time in Reno so we really didn't know what to expect, the price was really cheap, 35 dllrs per night so we took our chances, the room was clean and big, the bed was comfortable and had a decent bathroom but the place feels very outdated. Did not use the casino... More

I have stayed at the Sands Regency about 1/2 dozen times, and have always been extremely pleased. The rooms are clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The service is excellent, the people friendly, and I have nothing but good to say about them. AND at the top of my list, the price for great facilities and great service is the best... More

The Sands is not the Peppermill, but so what? The rooms could use some work, but so what? The Casino is pretty smokey, but so what? The casino has cards, dealer, tables and drinks. The rooms have beds, showers, TV's and towels. The restaurants have food to fill your belly, the outdoor, seasonal pool is refreshing. They have live entertainment... More

we stayed here for 1 night as a stopover. My first time to Reno so wasnt too sure what to expect. Room was surprisingly cheap, $40 for a very spacious room with 2 double beds and a decent bathroom. If i ever have a stopover in Reno again, I might just stay here!

I am very appreciative for all of the helpful staff I encountered during my stay here. Upon check in the front desk clerk was nice enough to upgrade us to a overly spacious room. Really do not have any complaints about this place. Room was clean, amenities were adequate....I would def stay here again when I come back into Reno!

The room was a good size with two queen beds. The carpet could use some cleaning. There was no coffee pot in room. Disappointed with a restaurant that was supposed to be all the rave was not open. My sister and I did a Monday thru Wednesday trip to Reno and was looking forward to a steak dinner, but the... More
