First time stay at Holiday Inn, and it will be the last. Hotel staff look like they don't know what they're doing. They put us in the room right next to the elevator with narrow entrance. I'm skinny, and I barely made it through the door. The room is hidden next to the elevator, people would easily miss it, thought... more

this has to be the most disapointing Hotel in the Holiday Inn chain i have ever stayed at. The hotel was grotty on the outside and just as bed on the inside. You do not feel safe. As we got out of the car to walk to check inn a car gunned itself towards my dad. The large amount of... more

My husband and booked this SCARRY, HORRIBLE ghetto hotel online directly from the holiday inn. As we pulled into the neighborhood it was filled with druggies and drunks! My daughter who is 11 said "there are bad people here, im not getting out of the car"! I could not beleive where this hotel was and how dirty and run down... more

We booked this hotel because most other decent ones were already sold out by the time we started searching. Holiday Inn still had rooms left. Just to echo most other reviewers said, this hotel has quite reasonable rooms. They are a bit old but kept clean. Price is usually cheaper than most other "real" downtown Reno hotels. It's because it's... more

Since I base my ratings on value for price paid, I'll start off my saying I paid a $60 government employee rate and am a gold member of Priority Club. I reserved (and received) a 2-bed room facing downtown and the mountains. I was a little puzzled at first that as a gold member I was placed on the 7th... more

When I first went in the bathroom there was something floating in the toilet. It was gross whatever it was and I flushed it without examining it. I was worried about the rest of the room, but I found it to have been adequately cleaned. This is definitely an old hotel. Still has cottage cheese ceilings and hard as stone... more

We decided to go to Reno on a spur of the moment get out of town trip, looked on hotwire and found a three star hotel in downtown reno for $45. COOL!! stay there, we can walk to everything and not have to drive around. Found out after we paid it was Holiday Inn, came on here, read reviews and... more

First, the front desk personel at this hotel shares the widespread disdain for hotwire customers. We were told in not unclear terms that "with the rate you are paying there is nothing we can do for you". But the real problem with this hotel is the attached gambling den they call a casino, that congregates every low life and drug... more

This hotel was horrible. We booked on Hotwire which said this is a three star hotel, but it is a two star at best. There isn't even valet parking or bell service! The hotel claims to have a casino. The casino is actually adjacent to the hotel and it is run by another company. The casino was super tiny and... more

I'm not too picky when it comes to hotels, especially in budget-friendly destinations such as Reno, but this hotel really is not as nice as it should be. It's well below the usual Holiday Inn. Positives: Great staff, air conditioning works, free wifi that works very well, convenient location, comfortable bed, interesting toilet (see below). Negatives: Strong cigarette smoke smell.... more
