After being gone for a few months we were excited to see how the newly renovated Grand Sierra looked. Not that we thought the lobby area needed renovating, maybe the rooms. What a disappointment. Gaudy is all that we can say about the lobby area. And the pool area which we love so much. The really cool cabanas that could... More

Before travelling to California we booked this hotel stay through Travelocity. The two-day stay price was about $50. When we arrived we paid an additional $10 per night for internet, etc. We were greeted at the hotel entrance with several valets with luggage carts. We self-parked but the valet held our cart until we returned then a hotel clerk took... More

We stayed here on a Living Social deal, 69.00 for two nights, two buffet dinners, 25.00 in gambling $, and four games of Bowling! Room was nice, though a little outdated, but clean. They are currently renovating so eventually will be top notch. The bed was comfy and the room good sized. Lots of dining venues, including a Johnny Rockets,... More

I want to start out with some positives. The rooms are huge (stayed in 1223), the restaurant selection is great, and the pool area is nice and only getting nicer (adding sand to go with the Beach name). Okay now for the bad. Starting right out of the gate, valet and check-in parking on a Sunday afternoon was impossible to... More

Wyatt, thank you for taking the time to review our resort. I want to start off by apologizing for your experience with us. In regards to our remodel, the Summit rooms, and the room you stayed in, please know that we are in the beginning phases of remodeling our standard rooms. Soon, each room will receive the remodel treatment. As... More

We have addressed this guest's issues with our team and we are confident that future customers will not have a similar experience. He is still a guest with us and has been with us for four days. Each week more of our renovation is complete and the finished product really has remade this property. As the summer season begins we... More

Love going to Grand Sierra when my hubby plays a poker tournament! There's lots to do and we can usually get a good room rate, even on the Summit Rooms which are very nice. There are good shops, cheap movies at the theater, bowling and an arcade for the family, an adventure park, mini golf, driving range and nice pool... More

This was our third stay over the last 5 years here. The Summit Rooms, 17th floor and up were a fantastic value. The amenities, bedding, furniture, bathrooms and small details were fantastic and were worth double what we paid for the 4 nights we recently stayed booked through Orbitz.com. My wife and I are not gamblers and this was still... More

We usually head to Vegas for gambling and desert sun, but this time we chose Reno. For starters, we traveled as a family with kids. Everyone decided on staying at the Gran Sierra because it fit everyone’s needs; it was close enough to drive, it had stuff to do for the kids and the adults, and it came with a... More

This review is from the travel partner of the review above called "Run don't walk even if it's free don't stay here". As we said in our response to the other review. They are still guests here today. Again, we know this is not an accurate portrayal of our resort as you can see by the other positive responses. More

We booked the hotel as a name your own price unknown 4 star hotel deal. And it was worth every penny of the $40 I bid. The only negatives I have is that the hotel pool was closed in the evening for a special function (they have a lot of convention space here, which is well-used by various entities at... More
