For the price it was a great family get away on a budget. The rooms are ok, don't expect a 4 or 5 star hotel type. The room was tidy and nothing special. The hotel does have a lot for the kids to do. The 50 lane bowling alley was a blast for my family and especially they had discounted... More

The hotel itself is great-- remodeled, great staff and a good atmosphere. That's why we make an annual trip to the resort. But the elevators were incredibly slow this time around. A fight even occurred between patrons at one point! Hopefully the hotel fixes this soon.

Casino Floor Manager Sunny Patel and her staff always make my wife and me feel right at home by greeting us whenever she see us in the casino. She has made it a point to remember our names and always goes out of her way to help us enjoy our visit. We also enjoy eating at the "Elements" Buffet and... More

We stayed 7/18-20 My family vacation at GSR was mediocre. First thoughts when we arrived were “We will have a great time”. The room was not worth the price, comparing my stays in Las Vegas, San Francisco and other cities and hotel and resorts. The wifi was had a fair strength the entire stay, very glad I was not on... We recently stayed at GSR and had a wonderful time. Friends had comped rooms so the stay was free but it would have been worth paying for. Lovely views of the Sierras and pool and lagoon area. Rooms were very clean and included coffee makers and ours had a fridge. TV was basic but one could pay for movies, games... More

Our first visit to Reno and no expectations at all. Found a great rate for GSR online prior to arriving. Great experience. Checking was quick and easy. Room was spacious and clean. Hotel has very good air quality. We stayed an extra day because it was so comfortable. We tried most of the restaurants and all were good. The pool... More

My family (husband, myself, and two teen boys) stayed at the Grand Sierra Resort from July 17-20. We were in the Reno area to visit the Western Railroad Museum in Portola, CA, as well as Virginia City. We found the resort's location perfect for visiting these attractions. I also chose it for the variety of restaurants and activities it offered.... More

While I don't have children and am personally a bit of a misopedist, this property is designed for the gambler(s) that have them. (Fortunately, the highest and most posh levels of the hotels are for guests 21 and up only.) On the casino floor, you have a wide selection of eateries and a recently remodeled gaming area, as well as... More

We were on the 11 th floor, looks as though the rooms were updated recently, and in nice condition. Every interaction with all levels of staff was professional and courteous and the facility was very clean. We ate at the buffet for both dinner and breakfast. Both meals were plentiful, abundant and delish We will totally go back

My 3 children have dietary needs no gluten or dairy. Chef Daryl Llewellyn came out and walked me through the entire buffet. He went through each item on what to avoid! There were lots of items still available to us! Great place & great chef! Thanks grand Sierra!
