We went there for a golf trip with some friends and had a wonderful time golfing. We were there while a few concerts were also being played and went to see Colbie Calliat and Peter Frampton as well. I had more fun at the concerts than golfing. We ate at the restaurants, gambled in the casino, but didn't get a... More

Large facility, clean decent casino. Worth the price. Close to airport. Friendly staff. Better than average buffet, (I don't think any buffets are great). Did not have a chance to see a show, or visit the nightclub which we heard was great.

Parts of the hotel have been renovated, but the location is inconvenient without a rental car. In addition, it is necessary to travel near the casino to access elevators to the room. Understandable, given the economics of Reno, but the annoyance arises from the ever-present cigarette smoke and the loudness of slot machines. Room service is prompt and polite. However,... More

We recently held our annual convention at the GSR and our attendees overwhelmingly rated it as an excellent facility. It offers a free shuttle to and from the airport which is just 5 minutes away. The meeting space has been recently renovated and accommodated our group of 450 nicely. The banquet food was top notch and there are a variety... More

The Grand Sierra had awesome customer service from Khalid who checked us in and changed our room so I could have a tub, to James our waiter at the Grand Cafe. Curios to Grand Sierra for remembering what customer service is.

I usually stay here when I visit Reno because the midweek rates are reasonable, the rooms, while slightly outdated, are clean and large. The water pressure in the showers is as good as home. The dining selections in house are fine. The concert venue is intimate without being too small and they seem to book good acts.

This is my forth or fifth visit to this hotel. It was seriously renovated since the last time I was here. Everything you need is there. A pool, a gym, a movie theater, 50 lane bowling court, numerous good restaurants, a great casino and more. I took a summit suit at the 22nd floor which was fairly upscale, clean and... More

I stayed at GSR for two nights and had a very relaxing stay. Nicely appointed rooms and a very comfortable bed. I was upgraded to a Summit Room and it was beautiful. I will always stay here when I am visiting Reno.

Had a great experience at the grand sierra resort. Had a great time at the black jack table (i was at the table for 5 plus hours), the pit boss Wes Webster was great in interacting with the table.. which made it very enjoyable even though we were on the losing end. the room was great, we upgraded on our... Booked and stayed at the GSR to attend a concert. We had a great time but there were a number of complaints, in no particular order: -Rooms were noisy. Had to call security 3x at 2, 2;30 and 3am to break up a fight going on next door. I should not have to call 3x...they should have kicked them out... More
