Located in old reno and a fun place to visit. 1.99 breakfast. 8.99 prime rib. After 9:00 one simply goes to the bar to order drink while gaming. Fun. This casino has some of the old flavor of casinos that one would come to Reno for. Many have tried to come across as LasVegas style charging resort fees and actually... More

I took a summer road trip that included 25 hotels so I am rating each hotel to pay it forward to others for helping me chose my hotels. This hotel rates a 'D-'. A casino with rooms in a cage behind it. We were first put in a crappy old room in a dark under hang and asked for a... More

1. My stay was orchestrated by Jackie Borden who bent over backwards to arrange my stay. The cocktail party and the heavy hors d'oeuvres, as well as the prime rib dinner were perfect! We were treated like kings! 2. Our free breakfasts were great and were only surpassed by the waitress staff that server us. Dalia at breakfast, and Sandra... More

It's not even really a hotel in that sense, but more of a casino with guest rooms. There are only few rooms available, but extremely well priced. Rooms are very spacious, cleanliness was fair enough even though we had a not so superclean sheet that we pulled out, a couple of non-hotel towels left in the bathroom, and vacuuming could... More

I was running out of options on a recent Saturday night in Reno. All my old stand-bys were full or only had smoking rooms left. On a whim, I dropped in to the Gold Dust West on my way out of town. To my surprise, they had a single non-smoking room for only $59! It was clean, quiet, safe, and... More

Decent place, but for the smoke. Golly wish they would open the air exchangers and replace the air filters. Then I could stand to stay and gamble. While the cafe is OK, it isn't good enough to overcome the horrible smoke in the casino. Smokey environment is worse than the Western Village!

We stayed here last week for 4 days while we were transitioning my mother in law from her home in Nevada to our home in California. We love staying at the Gold Dust because when we take our family they have bowling, a swimming pool and a casino for the adults. The hotel staff are wonderful and very helpful. Also... More
