We had a late flight into Reno and elected to start our drive to Tahoe the next morning. Since we hadn't experienced Reno ever, it was a good plan. We selected Siena as we were looking for a smaller boutique type of hotel. With its location right on the Truckee River, the deal was sealed. We were not disappointed. We... More

In many years of traveling nationally and internationally this was my worst hotel experience. My wife and I are frequent travelers to the Reno/Tahoe area. We found an offer for a 2 night stay at the Sienna. The offer required us to pre-pay for the room 30 days in advance and our payment was non-refundable. It looked good so we... More

What drew me to this hotel was the fact that is was by the Truckee River and the reviews on Trip Advisor. Pros: 1) Hotel not as big as the other hotels in the area. 2) Clean 3) Quiet 4) Friendly staff Cons: 1) Located at the edge of the "strip" and there were some questionable characters in the neighborhood.... We decided on this hotel because it was pet friendly (small dog) and right next to the Riverwalk. Additional non refundable pet fee added to the actual hotel room cost and not part of the prepaid cost if reserved online. Add a note in the comment about bringing a dog, or call for availability first. We made the reservations on... More

We stay here every year, as it's usually good. As always, check-in was easy. The friendly staff had all of our key packets ready on our arrival. I wish every hotel could be this efficient at check-in. A warning for nonsmokers: this is a casino, so the lobby reeks of cigarette smoke, but our rooms are always fine. Our room,... More

We booked this hotel based on the overwhelmingly positive reviews on this site. We were sorely disappointed. When we got to the hotel, our room was not ready because the carpet was wet. So they upgraded us to another room. However, when we got to the room, everything looked clean except for the tub was disgusting. There was sand and... More

Downtown Reno used to be a disaster. Actually all of Reno used to be a near disaster. But the Siena, right on the Truckee River, is part of a revitalization that includes a number of nice hotels, bars, river recreation, and a new ballpark. The hotel's rooms are very nice, and the casino is good but not too big or... More

I don't like casinos or gambling but had to stay someplace in Reno for a conference and this hotel was convenient. The room was nice; ditto with the pool/spa and the business center. The hotel also provided transportation to my conference, which I really appreciated. Given the other options versus the convenience of this hotel, I'd stay here again.

Very comfortable, but it was missing some small things that really would have helped. There was absolutely no info in the room about ANYTHING that was on the premises: restaurants, spa, TV listing (even Motel 6 has those!), concierge services, casino, not even where the pool was located. Very frustrating. WiFi was extremely spotty, which made internet access almost impossible.... More

Others had said to ask for a river view so we did. 8th floor room looking over river. Compact but not too small, all you needed! Outstanding service and amenities. Bar service at the pool, music in casino, gorgeous spa (will come back to use!), and great central location.
