We were just driving through and decided to stop and check out this old little mining town. We decided to stop in the saloon .... After a beer....we decided to get a room. We asked for the most haunted room. We were put in the room with the most reported paranormal activity....unfortunately. ..we did not experience anything. Our stay was... More

So I opened the door with anticipation And walked through the... More

We arrived late but Stephanie went out of her way to welcome us. They dont serve food and we were hungry, so we were offered frozen pizza. It was good and did the job. Stephanie was getting ready to close, but still served us drinks and let us gamble. She locked us in with her while she closed and continue... More

I stayed here for over a week while hunting. As long as the deer lose their sense of smell it's all good! Very nice staff, very accommodating, but partially due to the age of the building & fact that nearly all the staff smokes heavily, EVERYTHING Reeks! When you take a shower the clean towels smell like smoke.,,yuk! I literally... More

Friendly people, clean and comfortable rooms, good dreams. What more can you ask? Oh yeah, good prices! Sort of a fluke that we stayed there. We were traveling from Boise to Phoenix and this was sort of half-way. When we got there, we checked in, and we're told that the stairs were formidable. Good description. But once we got to... More

Wanted to see and stay at the Overland, and knew some of its history, but didn't want my wife to know too much ahead of time, as it was featured on Ghost Adventures. From the moment we walked into the Saloon which is where you check in, we had a fabulous time. We stayed in room 14, (not the infamous... More

Sooooo... its 5AM local time, i did not plan on leaving early. I am traveling on business and have an appointment this morning. I thought the name of the hotel was familiar, but I was tired and when I saw there were a lot of 5 star ratings here, I decided to stop. I was tired and hungry, so I... More

I had to work out of town and booked the nearest hotel I could find with a decent price. After looking online at the rooms and such, I decided to choose one of their theme rooms and book the hotel. It stated I could go ahead and book thru paypal. Not so. Paypal had no record of the hotel. I... More

Our family grew up in the neighboring mining town of Castleton and Pioche was the "big town" (all 800 of them) when we were all 5 to 15 years old. My three sisters and I returned for a family reunion and stayed at the Overland Hotel. Extremely nice Western themed rooms - very clean - and of course the owners... More
