I have stayed overnight here twice. The mountainous backdrop is beautiful, even in the hot summer. Tucked back away from civilization, it is quiet and peaceful, a perfect writing retreat for us writers. Being very remote, services are limited, however, be aware that this is NOT a posh place with high end amenities. Standard rooms, beds are comfy, bring your... More

After many years of living in Las Vegas I finally stayed at the Resort for a one night get away . I got a great deal of $64 for a Double Queen room on the 3rd floor with balcony off of Priceline.com . I have been coming to Mt Charleston for years hiking the trails and ate at the restaurant... If you want a break from the hustle and bustle of Las Vegas, then this is the place for you. That said, don’t expect any luxury amenities. The public areas of the property are nice, and the front pond is very inviting, however the rooms themselves are on the small side and a bit dated. A fresh coat of paint,... More

This is definitely a rustic property. But that really is not a negative. What would you expect at 7,500'? My wife & I stayed on Monday and Tuesday night. The room was what you would expect in this type of a property. The A/C worked but I turned it off at night and opened the window. The room was clean.... More

We did not stay here but stopped in to have a quick bite after a wonderful day of hiking. The soup was very good and the rest of our meal was okay. Our waitress was very nice and the employees we met on the way in were nice too. When you walk in it does feel dated but I think... More

the room was way over priced it was the king suite for 255.00 a night the balcony had paint chipping and was wobbly. Furniture was old and the bed had short sheets - they advertised room service and wi-fi but they don't have it. The room was only worth 50.00 -75.00 but they did provide cockroaches free of charge. -... More

MY wife and I went for a short romantic weekend getaway. We have been there many times before for dinner when we were going hiking on the mountain and we really like the atmosphere there. It's small but at the same time it feels spacious, partly due to the high ceilings. You really do get a sense that you are... More

Not what I expected. It's a small hotel, with a small dining hall, bar and banquets area. The food is over priced and tastes like an amateur cook is in the kitchen. The restaurant is dirty, the restrooms are dirty. I was more impressed with the Spring Mountain visitor center and Red Rock then the Mount Charleston resort. I didn't... More

The hotel is beautiful! So much detail in the construction. The grounds are maintained and the rooms very clean. The staff was very helpful. The restaurant was understaffed. It appears the management/owners are trying to save a buck with no access to the internet even in the lobby business section down. The bistro that would serve snacks and beverages had... More

We went there the other night to cool off and see some stars. The astronomical kind, just a little too light in Vegas as you would probably guess. The altitude at the campground at the end of the road is approx. 7,600 feet so we got the cool we were looking for. The area is still desert though there are... More
