Rooms are large and Quiet. Maid service very friendly and helpful. very close to all the action in Tahoe, Carson City or Reno. The gaming area is plentiful with both slots and table games. The dealers are very friendly and make the experience ( even if you lose) enjoyable. The restaurant's are okay. But if your looking for different Fare.... More

Stayed in the motor lodge section which was fine but not superb. But the dinner we had in the steakhouse was every bit as good as any we have ever had! Filet that melted in the mouth. Recommendations from waiter that helped. Overall completely worth the stay just for the dinner!

This lodge, on the outskirts of southern Carson City, was a one-night stop on the way to a larger vacation in Las Vegas. As such, we viewed it as it was: a place to sleep for a few hours. We stayed in the motor lodge/motel adjacent to the main casino hotel, in a two-queen room, and it was nothing fancy.... More

Love this place, we are from Southern California and it's a 4 to 4 1/2 hour drive for us, but it's a GREAT PLACE for several days getaway. There's the Casino, which has an abundance of machines to try your luck at, plus tables. There's Katie's for casual dining and the best of best breakfast choices and lunch choices, or... More

I have been here many times and love the renovations. We just stayed here and were disappointed with the service of 2 bartenders. One was at the bar at CV Steak and the other in the lounge. The one in the lounge was rude and the one at CV Steak said we would have to pay for our drinks. When... More

Our first time at the CVI and it won't be our last. This is a great find in the Carson Valley. The staff was so helpful and courteous from checkin to checkout. We stayed for two nights but would have stayed longer if not for having to get back home for family plans. We have stayed in a variety of... More

We spent three nights there and it was great. The hotel looks as if it belongs in the High Sierras with the woodsy look and feel. Ample free parking or valet service.Check in was no problem, staff extremely friendly. Rooms large and bathroom's very spacious and clean. Hotel staff seem to be always cleaning hallways and etc but not so... More

Another trip to Minden visiting family which meant another stay at CVI. Been coming here for over 30 years and have watched the place blossom to what it is now. Rooms are updated spacious and well maintained. Staff is always friendly. If you can, upgrade to one of their suites, it's well worth it. Gaming is always good. Katie's serves... More

This was my second stay at CVI. Wonderful experience. The put me in one of their Suites which was very very nice! Private Patio. Big Screen TV. Dining Table plus full Bar. Steam Shower. Room was clean and neat. Wish the hotel had room service. That's the only negative I would state about the CVI. Every employee smiled and greeted... More

I stayed two nights in the hotel portion of the Carson Valley Inn. We were told on arrival that the first floor were smoking rooms but second and third floors were the non smoking rooms. The room was very clean and spacious. The hotel also houses a good size Casino and a couple of restaurants. The staff was very friendly... More
