I recently stayed at the Carson Valley Inn while on business in Gardnerville. Upon arrival I was immediately put off by the poor lighting, outdated decor and stale stench of cigarettes lingering in the corridors. That said, my room was odor-free, the bed was comfortable and I slept really well. Every hotel employee I encountered was exceptionally friendly, and breakfast... More

We stayed at this hotel for a car meet, the staff was friendly and courteous and the restaurant on property served excellent meals. It is close to Carson City and all its attractions. Was an easy daytime drive to Lake Tahoe and Virginia City.

We pulled into this hotel pretty late but they still had rooms available. We opted to stay in the lodge which is in a separate building from the hotel and casino and priced a little lower. The room was pretty basic, but nice and clean. We couldn't get the wifi in our room to work and couldn't get any help... More

We stayed 3 nights at the Motor Lodge (our 3rd stay over the years), once again we found the hotel to be clean, updated. PLUS: + Spacious Room (we were on second floor) + Bed was comfortable (we had king size) + Clean throughout + Flatscreen TV with satellite channels, good reception + Water pressure was good with plenty of... Dear Guest: Thank you for your review. We followed up quickly on this today and found out that our Internet Services provider recently initiated an ad campaign without our knowledge. It becomes an income source for our provider to run these ads. These ads were of the pop up variety that quickly become irritating. Please be assured that they most... More

We stayed at the Carson Valley Inn while attending a local event. Our room was very clean and spacious. The staff was efficient and friendly. They have very nice amenities including restaurants, a pool, hot tub, gas station, conference rooms and a casino. We enjoyed the casino and the Inn was very generous with their casino comps. The Inn is... More

We just needed a night away, son and daughter-in-law live in the area. Room was clean, bed comfortable, towels nice and thick, toilet flushing was loud as were people coming to their rooms late. We stayed at the Motor Lodge, ate at Katies (which is always good, ask for Carmen) and will recommend it to anyone needed to get away... More

We were doing some skiing at Tahoe, and didn't realize the location was a bit too far. The map shows it's about 30 minutes drive, but that drive goes through the mountains and doing it in the dark, in snow and ice, during a storm - is simply not a great experience. If you're going to Tahoe in the winter,... More

The Carson Valley Inn is located down the hill from Lake Tahoe in Minden, NV. They feature a hotel, casino, coffee shop, steakhouse, cafe, RV park and gas station & store. We find it convenient to stay here a night before heading up to Lake Tahoe. The Inn is modern but reminiscent of an Old West hotel. The staff is... More

Stayed in the Motor Lodge, which is separate from the Casino and Main Hotel. The rooms appear to have been upgraded, and were very nice. Spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and area quiet; though people coming in late, did make noise. Not the fault of the hotel. The price was reasonable. A coffee maker, hair dryer, and iron/ironing... More

Booked through Expedia, was trying to stay at the inn, but because they chose rooms, we were given room at their motor lodge. Had to sigh a form saying wouldn't smoke in room, but was given a room that had ash tray, matches and smelled like smoke. Noticed cigerate burns in chair and carpet. Carpet stained and had cigerate burns.... More
