Did the job it was supposed to do. Room was clean and had everything we needed for our extended stay in Vegas. This hotel was great for what we needed it to be. A little ways away from the strip, but close enough to get there and see the sites. The only complaint I had was there were not enough... More

Old tired and unnecessarily expensive. Rooms were no better than a cheap Motel. If I booked to marry here, I'd be very disappointed. For the same price you could get a room in one of the big strip hotels, or even cheaper in one of the older ones like Circus Circus.

Thank You for your response. The Shalimar Hotel is a small property that is fully enjoyed by guests that are looking to be able to park close to their room without having to walk great distances. Our large outdoor swimming pool and Wi-Fi are complimentary amenities that most other properties charge a "resort fee" in order to have access to... More

Once you are off the street, on the grounds and inside you will be surprised - it's safe and secure. The driveway in is narrow and serves as both entry and exit, and there are no entry or exit points out back. I made our reservation with Arlet, who was actually on the desk at check-in - truly a doll... More

The room was nice, only a few maintenance issues, like a light that didn't work and half of the the front of the air conditioner was off making it really loud. The beds were comfortable and having movie channels and free wi-fi was a really nice bonus. Very little noise from outside, or other rooms. Curtains really block out the... More

Bed was not very good, but best place to stay if over 4 people in Vegas. Location a little iffy, but not bad and close to Pawn Stars and Stratosphere. Restaurant is NOT open for breakfast and it seems besides us only Cubans were ever in there, but it was a good place for lunch.

Two male employees were extremely nice. Young man very helpful with car rental (found the best for the price at The Stratosphere "Budget") and he was also helpful with local interests we had. Older man tried to help my Wi-Fi. Others just treated us as a dollar sign doing their job. No casino machines in hotel. Strip club across street,... More

Excellent value for money! Nice quiet hotel, just a short walk from the Stratosphere town. Location by 7/11 and Walgreens so could for snacks and to cook food in microwave/store in fridge in room. Lovely room...members of staff very friendly...relaxing time in pool! I'd mention the air conditioning isn't the best but it does the job, and television choices poor!

During my tour from Vegas to San Fransisco and LA, this hotel was one of the best I have booked!. Very friendly reception, helpfull to inform about "old las vegas". Rooms were perfect, price acceptable!! 20 minutes walk to the Strip!

This was a last-minute booking and i knew it was going to be below par but what I received was much, much worse. Firstly the "smoke-free" room absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke- it's been absorbed into the carpets and walls. The room is unfinished- there's a gaping hole between the ceiling and the back wall. The television is outdated with... More

If you are looking for a low price hotel not all that far off the strip in LV and don't mind noise late at night this could be perfect for you. The beds are comfortable. The internet works. So far so good. However, when I was there the pool was sketchy, I did not swim but when I walked by... More
