Though a frequent visitior to LV, hadn't visited let alone stayed "Downtown" in at leat 10-15 years. Wow, have things changed. Love the way they made a covered pedestrian mall out of the main street. Not only feels and is far safer to walk around, it makes it fun and interesting, especially at night when the covered 'ceiling' turns into... More

If you want something a little classier in the downtown Las Vegas area, the Golden Nugget is it. It's not super fancy like some of the places on the Strip, but it's definitely the nicest place downtown (which is a little seedy but kinda fun!). Our room was large and clean, the staff were very nice, the pool area is... More

First I arrived some where around 2 in the morning. I was put on the 26th floor of the tower farthest away from the hotel desk that took a GPS to find! The maze of hall ways was just too much. When I arrived at my room the keys did not work and I had to find my way back... More

Okay so this place is "cheaper" due to it being in Old Vegas but think again. Yes it's a super nice hotel, yes its got some amazing amenities - everything you'd want in a Vegas hotel. However they rip you off as soon as you check in. Basically you are charged DOUBLE the price up front to your credit card... More

It has been awhile since we stayed in old town Vegas. This hotel has raised the bar in old town. The hotel is elegant and the restaurants do not disappoint. Make sure the check out the aquarium slide and the Chart House. More

I'm currently deployed and was previously stationed in Las Vegas; I still visit friends and family a few times a year. Normally, I go to the Nugget to gamble and socialize with friends...although I had never stayed there, I really enjoyed what I could see of the renovations. On-line the rooms looked great. I'm having a small wedding (for about... More

We loved our stay a the Golden Nugget Las Vegas. We stayed in the Gold VIP tower which has a separate check inn area. The room was contemporary with rich dark colors and had a very welcoming feel. Bed was almost too comfortable and the room had all the amenities to spoil you. The bath room was beautiful the only... More

When we travel we look for clean, safe, moderate priced rooms. Our room in Rush Tower was all that and more. Room Details: Positive: rainhead shower, two robes, two sinks, blow dryer (in bag on shelf in closet), large tub, full length mirrors, iron/board, flat screen TV, couch, safe, all Rush Tower rooms are smoke free, and nice decor and... Beware The Golden Nugget. I always stay downtown and come to vegas a couple times a year. The Golden Nugget is always higher so I have never stayed here before. This time their rate was same as four queens so I decided to Try it. The hotel is much nicer, BUT!!!! My room has not been done properly since I... More

70s luxury but would definitely stay again. Off the strip but the downtown experience was great. Great food, less crowds, cheaper eats, and definitely cheaper prices. The pool area was wonderful with a special adults area that was especially nice. We paid about half of what we paid on the strip and enjoyed it more. More
