Main squeeze and I stayed in the Carson Tower over five days and four nights. Decent room. De rigeuer, weirdly-named condiments in the bathroom. Be sure to ask for a room away from the noise. The desk clerk, Taelyr was a gem to look at, but no judge of her audience, will assume that means away from the Fremont Street... More

Stayed here after being proper spoilt uptown so when we entered our (sorry) drab room we were a bit disappointed. However it's in the hub of Downtown Vegas and one of the images that I remember from all those Vegas shows I watched as a kid. Worth a visit but there are much more luxurious places to stay.

If you don't mind staying away from The Strip, this hotel is everything you could possibly want. It was completed renovated within the last several years and is full of great restaurants, buffets, a spa, and an incredible pool. If you can, stay in the Rush Tower - the rooms are nicer there than in the Carson Tower, which still... More

Stayed in the Rush Tower and enjoyed all the amenities. Loved the old Vegas vibe. Wanted to experience the days of the Rat Pack:). Room was spacious and quite comfortable. Much to do just within the casino and found the bus to the Vegas Premium shopping outlet not far which was a bonus. Going back next April and plan on... More

We stayed for four nights on the 20th floor of Carson tower. the room was comfortable and clean once we got there. We had to circle the parking garage for over an hour to park the car after arriving at the hotel shortly after midnight. A Kuerig coffeepot and some very expensive k-cups were in the room, but not ONE... More

We stayed in the rush tower, and it was an amazing room very clean and new. The pool was great. We had some family that stayed in Carson tower. Golden nugget needs to renovate that side, rooms look like they are outdated. Friendly staff, nice looking casino, great views.

After staying at the Venetian my wife and I wanted to stay in downtown and we were not disappointed. It's definitely not the Venetian and I was expecting a real rats nest but damned if I wasn't pleasantly surprised. We stayed in the Gold Tower where the décor in the rooms looked ageing but it was all clean and functional.... More

First trip to Vegas with the kids... We spent 2 nights only at the Golden Nugget. Hotel was clean, room was nice and clean too, double bed with the standard amenities. AC worked beautifully as it was so hot outside. During the day, temp averaged ~ 110F (end of July 2013). We were at the pool most of the time,... More
