We have been to Vegas 3 times now and we always stay on the strip but venture to the old part of downtown vegas. On our last trip we decided to visit this hotel and had heard of the waterslide within the hotel (which online states you can pay to use at a SMALL fee if you are not staying... More

We picked the Golden Nugget after considering reviews, location maps and other internet tips about several places, plus the bigger question of Downtown vs. Strip. Comments about GNH's slow check-in desk, crowds at the pool and smoky rooms gave us pause, as well as the complaints about outrageous charges for WiFi, bottled water and room coffee. But we also noted... More

We have stayed here four times and it has always been a good experience. Love to just walk around and look at everything. Love, love, love the pool area and the sharks. A bit scary for someone like me to be in the pool but love to look at it :). Gaming is average. Rooms are average if you go less expensive... More

The Golden Nugget was a great value , very clean , Friendly Staff and Great downtown location. It's also easy to go anywhere from here. Fremont Street is a cool place to see. If you have not been to Vegas and want to stay off the strip , The Golden Nugget is the place.

We stayed in the Carson Tower for four nights in August 2014. We are frequent travellers so do have a portfolio of hotel stays to compare this to. Our room in the Golden Nugget (room 1074) was .... okay. We did not catch any bed bugs in the traps we put out, so that was good (This is standard procedure... More

We stayed on the fifth floor of the gold tower. The room was spacious with a view overlooking the pool deck. Housekeeping did a great job daily and replaced towels and restocked goods when needed. The room looks just like the pic online. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The Cadillac eatery had good breakfast burritos and the Chocolate box... More

My best friend and I had booked our hotel room in the beginning of the year at the Golden Nugget to lock in a really cheap rate. We finally were able to stay down here for our vacation this month, and are glad that we had picked the GN for our stay. We arrived right as check in was starting... More

First of all I usually love staying at the Nugget, but its showing its age or lack of maintenance. We had a comped room in the Carson tower but if we wanted to wait we could of had a Rush room but the room is not usually that important to us so we stuck with Carson, with safe that didn't... More

The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino on Fremont Street is a great choice of places to stay, if you aren't looking to stay right on the strip. Very nice hotel and casino. Our room was a decent size and clean. The location is good, within walking distance of everything on Fremont Street.
