this has always been one of my favorites--but since the conversion to the HIP place, I do not like so much. I know I am probably not hip myself, so do not really care anything except classic gaming, and a vintage atmosphere. Nice and cozy place, with efficient layout. I sure miss the 99 cent shrimp cocktail

This boutique hotel, given an AAA 4-Diamond Award, was excellent. Our room was furnished beautifully, we ate at the buffet restaurant (there are 7 altogether) and had a choice of hundreds of dishes to choose from. The hotel's retail stores make a good walk after dinner, or you can enjoy Fairmont Street for loud music, free street acts, and lots... More

I understand that I was staying in Vegas, on Fremont Street. A "party" atmosphere is to be expected. What I didn't expect was that my windows would literally be rattling until 2am. There is ABSOLUTELY no way I could watch TV (even if it worked), sleep or even think until the Fremont Experience closed. The shower was TERRIBLE. I could... More

Admittedly I messed up on the reservation. They do now tell you about the up charge. But don't ask for any other explanation. The person taking my reservation snapped at me about writing the prices down. It was bizarre. So I hop everyone one isn't like that person. It's my 35 th wedding anniversary and I want it done right.

My son, my friend and I visited Vegas Nov 8 - 12. We had several coupons for complimentary stays including 2 -3 nights stays at the Golden Gate, and 1 3 nights stay at the Plaza. We were going to all crash in our Golden Gate room with 2 beds as reserved, since we weren't arriving until after midnight and... More

We had reservation for a non smoking room but they didnt have any available, so we had to stay in a smoking room, the first room we got smelled like 10 people were smoking pipe inside, u could smell the marijuana... I love gambling at this downtown casino but staying here was something I will not do again. The room was small and the curtains did not block out the light. It was like in a movie at a cheap roadside motel. I would not use the bathroom as it was cramped and smelly. It is like a locker room shower... More

Always have gambled in this casino and loved it. First time staying there was pretty dreadful. They gave us the worst room there is, right over Fremont Street. The noise made it impossible to sleep and the bass from the band below my window added to the misery. Earplugs didn't help. The room had been remodeled, but they forgot to... More

First, let it be known that my issues were not with the room itself. The room was more pleasant than I expected it to be for a hotel built in 1906. I was aware that the rooms were on the petite side. I might have been shocked at the size of the bathroom, however, it makes sense...small room, small bathroom.... More

Thank you for sharing your recent experience with us. As you noted, our rooms that are located on Fremont Street are smaller, as they were remodeled to maintain the historical integrity of the hotel. We're glad you enjoyed your stay aside from the noise from the construction nearby and we apologize for the inconvenience. We appreciate the feedback and hope... More
