The Gold Coast seems more like a place for locals being out a short ways from the Strip. There is a free shuttle running every 30-minutes which takes you to the Orleans hotel-casino and then to Bally’s hotel-casino on the Strip. Being more for the Vegas locals, the tables games start at $5 and the restaurants are cheaper. Great place... More

The best thing about the Gold Coast is the Liquor store/Gift shop. We were staying at the Rio and would venture over for the inexpensive liquor and beer (but first sign up for a loyalty card at the Gold Coast and get 10% off you liquor and beer!) Otherwise, the Gold Coast has quite the different clientele than other casinos... More

This is an old Vegas property but it has been extensively renovated and is a great bargain for the area. The only real "issue" I had with it is that their ventilation system is not all that great and after you left the room and went into the main casino area, including the restaurants, the smoke was a bit too... Stayed here for two nights over this recent Labor weekend (Saturday and Sunday) and satisfied , all things considered. One night was complimentary and the other was a mere $45; not bad when you considered they threw in an upgrade to a top-floor, one-bedroom suite (with a little incentive from the Andrew Jackson and benevolent front-desk attendant) and comparable rooms... Thank you very much to the room reservation and catering staff as well as the engineering dept and hotel staff in the handling of our event. It was easy to communicate with them and our needs were answered promptly! The food for each of the event was just right and fresh, the presentation simple but classy and with reasonable price.... My buddy and I take an annual poker trip to vegas. This year we wanted to try a cheaper off strip property and I heard some good things about the GC. I'm glad we did because this is a great property. We arrived early (9 a.m.) so I did the $20 trick during check in and got into a room... More

I stayed there from 8/25 to 8/29 very nice hotel. the only problem is the breakfast buffet they want give you the discount if you don't show the players card even if you staying there. I think if you are staying there and show them the room key you could get the discount. I had to go all the way... More

Barb and I returned from our spring-fling in Vegas last week. We spent 6 days and 5 nights at a smaller Casino that is 2 blocks of the Vegas strip. I must say this Casino is one of Vegas best kept secrets to some. If you are all about 3 room suites, fabulous strip views and personal concierge service stop... More

Good place off strip ; no need to be trendy. We went here from Ballys they provide free shuttle to visit my mother in law she's 91 and great health to play Bingo. We visited Oct '13 April '14 and Aug '14 If your over 50 might be good choice to stay. We enjoyed Bongo on something like I Pads... More
