We've stayed here many times over the last 20 years. We were here when it was a Holiday Inn called Fitzgeralds, when it was The Fitz and at least 10 times since it has been The D. So, I'm leaving this additional review to remind myself of what I've learned on this latest trip. Renovations continue. The suites have been... More

The locals' suite at the D was amazing--the shower itself was as big as a walk-in closet! Multiple TVs had us thinking we will be back for March Madness. The elevator situation is a little tricky, but you can just take the stairs to avoid the traffic jam.

Standard budget room. We were displaced by the Nugget and had to stay here. Rooms are clean. That's a good point. But now here are other points. Bath tub/shower had holes in the fiberglass or whatever it was they painted it with. The noise from Fremont street was terrible. The A/C couldn't be adjusted so that the air would shoot... More

Ivrecently stayed at this hotel, and it is Awesome. They were right in the middle of the strip, close to everything I needed. Their slots were loose, the blackjack was good. Free splits when u got them. The room was spectacular. I was on the 30th floor, from the hallway to the room itself was great, clean and I felt... More

I stayed at The D from July 22nd- July 27th. I had originally asked to have the same room and floor as before but were told they didnt have any more. The clerk gave me an upgraded room on the 15th floor that was still supposed to be away from the noise of Freemont Street. The room actually faced the... More

I say it every year.....this is a GREAT casino! I've never stayed down on Fremont Street, but this is where I would stay if I were to do that. I love the D. The bathrooms are the cleanest downtown. The Longbar is great with flair bartenders. The Sigma Derby quarter horses upstairs are very popular. We went back 3 different... More

Our stay was nice. We stayed for 2 nights and the room was great - clean and recently renovated. Beds were comfortable and overall a quiet room. First time staying downtown and it was a great location right in the middle of Fremont St.

Just came home today from staying at the D. Friends gifted us with a room. I come to Vegas at least 10 times a year and have never stayed downtown so i was a little skeptical. Im used to staying on the strip at mandalay bay and hotels of that nature. I must say the D was actually decent. Nothing... More

Not bad at all actually was so surprised saw some bad reviews but can't please everyone I liked it and we usually stay on strip. New York New York Mandalay bay. But let's not compare because you can't. However I will say it was different. Not better just nice for a change to be open minded. I will say this.... More
