Checked in later at at night with no wait at all. I reserved a smoking room but they only had non smoking. They gave me a free upgrade to a larger king room and said I could change it tomorrow. The room was spotless and I decided to keep it for my 5 night stay. I never waited more than... More

The D did a good job with the renovations making it a hip casino experience. I like the vibe upstairs with the coin operated machines, but if you look you can still find that at most of the casinos Downtown. The music is way too loud for anyone over 25 which made wanting to stay longer not an option. Would... More

Awoke to the soothing sounds of construction at 6AM THIS MORNING!! I still have 3 more nights of this too. The elevators took 5 minutes just to get to the lobby level and then we still had to wait for the next one since there is only 10 people allowed and we had our bags. 10 minutes later we finally... I have stayed at this hotel at least 4 times using my husband and my player card. For some reason my address was never entered on card. I have never received any promotions or discounts. My daughter stayed one and gets buy one get one free. I called and was disappointed that no offer for me was made. I still... More

I really want to like The D. It has a lot going for it, including a real live owner on the property. He even invites guests to join him for a drink (see below). And, for the money, it's a good buy. But there are some rough edges that need taken care of. I had booked a corner king but... More

This review is of only the casino. We went to the D on 3 of the 5 days we were in vegas. We played blackjack on the first day. The dealer was also from Detroit and he was good. Funny and friendly. It was a Saturday morning and all the blackjack tables were at $10 already which was surprising. The... More

Right off I noticed that the parking was bad. Self parking started on the 7th floor with the first 6 floors empty valet stalls. Every night we parked on the 9th or 10th floor. Tip for the D....assign less valet stalls in the slow season. The room was clean and housekeeping did a good job. The rooms was renovated a... More

I've been to Vegas many times over the past decade or so, and I've always stayed on the strip. My older brother stays here regularly and convinced us that downtown was the way to go, and The D was the place to be. He put us in touch with one of the hosts (Avery), and I can't say enough about... More

The D is a fabulous hotel, since I live here in Vegas, I take Stacations instead of Vacations! I got the corner king premium room located on 32nd floor. It had panoramic views of city and paid only $60 in all includind taxes and resort fee! When people here of down town Vegas they think of smoky low end hotels... More
