The Rio is a pretty hotel, a little out dated. Customer service definitely needs to be worked on. We did not get the rooms we reserved as they give rooms "1st come, 1st serve". Not family friendly at all.

When paying bill make sure you go over bill. because when you get home you just might be paying for everything twice. I am still fighting my bill. Stay with a single reservation, they have hard time with group reservations. This is my opinion.

Stayed one night on a layover. Rooms are large and comfortable. Not as smoky as many other hotels in Vegas. I didn't particularly care for the $24 resort fee being that I didn''t use any of the facilities. But I managed to make a little on the crap table so let's call it even. I like the variety to asian... More

Had I known I was gonna have to pay to stay I would have gone somewhere else. Stayed many places in vegas and the Rio seems kinda old now. Front desk never explained that my rooms were on the dog level when I didnt even have a dog. How was your supposed to get romantic?

Check in service was terrible. Only one front desk staff and it took over an hour to get checked in. Door lock was broken in our hotel room and we had to wait another hour to get that fixed (if we had not noticed, someone could have just let themselves into our room and stolen all our belongings). Restaurant and... More

Traveled with friends. We had a nice time and a lot of fun. And will travel again very soon. The rooms are large and nice and clean. The casino is easy to find your way around. only negative is 5.00 soda in hall vending machine.

Accomodations incredible and food exemplary Casino floor always active and we even managed to bring home most of our money. Table games were nicely varied and the dealers friendly. A great way to spend our birthdays this year.

If you go to Vegas you always want to visit the strip but staying there another story. A real Zoo. So we always stay at the Rio. Just off the strip and a wonderful Caesar's Property. They have a shuttle free that runs to the strip every 15 minutes to Harrah's or Bally's. There are also several casinos within walking... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Spacious suites and luxurious amenities complement the gaming thrills, sumptuous dining and hot entertainment found at Rio. The excitement of Carnival radiates throughout the casino floor and out to the pools of VooDoo Beach where guests can soak up the sun in both family-friendly and adults-only areas. Inside, guests can dine at Martorano’s, an Italian restaurant serving the world’s greatest meatballs, or experience the city’s finest panoramic views at VooDoo Steak. Rio’s Carnival World and Village Seafood buffets have been voted the city’s best and shouldn’t be missed. Crown Theater, a nightclub and live music venue, books everyone from Platters, Cornell Gunter Coasters & Marvelettes to Devo. Of course, you may prefer to dance above the lights and under the stars at VooDoo Rooftop Nightclub. Back on the ground, entertainers Penn & Teller and the Chippendales keep audiences enraptured nightly. ... more   less
