The Mardis Gras has everything a basic hotel needs: safe, spacious rooms; friendly, helpful staff; very reasonable prices. Although it does have many amenities including a pool and small gaming area, this hotel is not to be mistaken for the ultimate all inclusive destination like some huge Las Vegas hotels. But probably more importantly it does covers all the basics... More

I stayed in this hotel for New Years. It was a last minute decision to go to Vegas, so everything was expensive. I didn't have high expectations, but actually my stay there was pretty nice. The front desk let me check in early, as my room was ready. Also, there was a free airport shuttle in the hotel. Besides, they... More

You know you're not in a great area when you see cockroaches on the floor and old TV'S out in the car park. We had just finished our dinner and when we got to the hotel it was about 9:30 pm, so we were all tired. We proceeded to go to our rooms - which I must admit, were spacious... More

This worked well for us. An extremely functional hotel at a very good price. Though it is not on the Strip, they have a shuttle to downtown hourly. For a short stay, just to "experience" Las Vegas, this was a great value.

Stayed here back in May for a week with a great deal with Thompson Holidays, we was a bit worried about stopping off the strip. but there was no need to be. the area was fine, we felt safe walking around day and night. We got a warm welcome on arrival. I must say its a lot more personal service... More

If you're looking for adequate and comfortable lodging off "The Strip" and still be walking distance to the main attractions on the strip, this is a good choice. Older 3 story motel that provides basic travelers needs - clean room, comfortable beds, 24 hour restaurant and bar, bathroom with tub/shower, pool/hot tub and some slot machines. Within walking distance to... More

While my journey I changed 6 hotels. To be honest, this is not the best hotel but it stable on second place. Good location for price. 20-30 minutes walk to main attraction. The best breakfast of my journey just for 8$, don't be surprised but it is the cheapest breakfast too. There is Casino in the hotel, where i won... More

The good : room was big, bed was comfortable, The bad: worn out towels, not enough of them, closet doors falling off, I had to pry the doors back on the Trac so they wouldn't fall on me while I slept. The ugly: the bathroom had a strong smell of urine, the couch looked dirty and stained, I booked a... More

We had a lovely pleasant stay at the hotel. The weather was good, the people at the hotel were great including both customers and staff, especially Jerrie the bartender. Being on the back of the strip this is a more peaceful hotel.

Most of the reception staff need training in customer service. They had removed the coffee machines from the rooms after our booking. Reasonably clean but we had to remove the hair from the sink plug so the water would drain away. The first lot of towels although they had been washed had very bad stains. The top sheet on the...
