We decided on Vdara since it is a non-smoking hotel without a casino in it. Last time we were in Las Vegas, we stayed at the Luxor and it was very nice. When we arrived to check in early, the room was not ready which wasn't a problem since check in isn't until 3 p.m. and we arrived at 1 p.m. So we went and ate and came back. We had originally booked a deluxe suite, the reception informed us that there was only one deluxe suite available and she didn't want to put us in that one due to construction still in progress. So the hotel complimentary upgraded us to the Panoramic suite. This room is larger than apartments I stayed in while in college. It is almost 900 square feet, has a great panoramic view of the mountains, washer/dryer, dishwasher, cooktop, microwave and full refrigerator with water filter.
