The El Cortez Cabanna suites are located downtown across the street from the El Cortez Hotel and Casino. It is centrally located near Fremont street so it is an easy walk to the canopy on Fremont street. The rooms are dated and the colors remind me of the 50's-60's time frame but that just enhanced the experience as it brought... More

I've now stayed in all the different basic room types at El Cortez and this would be my pick. Sure, it's across the street from the casino but the rooms are a better value. I had read some reviews that felt the rooms are too small but my junior room was great for 2. Bathroom a bit small and offers... More

I booked a room for 2 nights through the El Cortez Casino's website. I didn't realize that the cabana suites are actually located across from the casino in a separate building. We checked in at the casino check in desk. The lady at the front was preoccupied and not welcoming. Honestly, I was put off by the accidental booking across... More

I really love the Cabana suites because they are so comfortable, secure, and close to Fremont. I hat the El Cortez but love this place. I think it has different owners but use the Cortez for check in. They have fruit and candy in lobby . Very clean and love the decor.

...just to let you know that Cabana Suites and Hotel & Casino are totally different buildings. We stayed for the night, supposed to be a KING bed but looks and feels a QUEEN bed. Clean, affordable and chic. Snacks, water and juice for SALE. It is an older hotel, lots of parking! We parked at the garage adjacent to the... More

Yes, I live in Vegas, but stayed here after a night of celebratory drinking downtown amongst friends. When you can book a room for about $20-35 bucks in this area, then why not? Worth it sometimes to not have to worry about the logistics of getting home or having to exercise caution about taking "one more shot!" Knock out in... More

Free parking, clean room. Shower pressure SUCKS. We had a junior cabana suite, it looks just like it does on the website. Bathroom was trendy (but I repeat shower pressure SUCKS - I have chin length hair and never thought I was going to get it all wet, or rinse the shampoo out!), lobby was funky but cute. Elevator was... More

Wow - what interesting decor. Wild green color. Thankfully separated from the casino - across the street. Check in was very slow. After getting my key and walking outside across the street - the keys didn't work. Waited on hold twice for over ten minutes trying to call the front desk. Shift change - no one was answering. Finally came... More

This is my favorite place to stay in Las Vegas. I pay 2 dollars and take the city bus from the airport to downtown on the freeway. It takes less than half an hour. You check in at the El Cortez Hotel and walk across the street behind the hotel to the Cabana suites. They have a security guard outside... More

I've stayed at this hotel before. The rooms are clean, and while the furniture is starting to show a bit of wear, it's still pretty new looking. The rooms are big, the bathroom is HUGE, and the prices are great because it's one block from the Canopy, and has no pool. If you NEED a pool, don't stay here. If... More
