Really got my $10 worth at the all you can eat buffet. Delicious. I was expecting the price to be a little lower with it being so close to Vegas and all, but no complaints. Didn't get a look at the hotel rooms and not much of gambling hall. All in all, however, I believe I would go back to... more

Goldstrike Casino and Resort is a great hidden gem, I stayed over the Memorial Weekend, there was no problem getting a room and Karen & Monette were two ladies at the front desk that were extremely helpful even when I checked in at nearly midnight. I was also extended a military discount for being a veteran of the armed forces... more

I have to be honest...we were on a tight budget on our way to a trade show in Las Vegas so we figured Saturday night we could save some money so we stayed at the Gold Strike. The deluxe room was huge and clean, no problem there. The slots were tight, there was a bar with no bartender and not... more

Dated, dirty and a bad smell coming from the sink. Noisy, gum wrappers on the floor and someone elses hair in the shower. That being said....it is a $30 room. Can't figure out what some of the other reviewers were smoking. Come here for a honymoon and go directly to Las vegas for a quicike divorce :-) more

One of the best kept secrets in the area, good food, great price, great fun. Nobody comes to vegas to sleep in your bed, and stay in your rooms anyway. Its just a short drive into town, and when its time to leave, your already in front of the traffic depending on which way you are going. You can also... more

This is a stand alone hotel/ casino is on the interstate about 30 miles west of Las Vegas. An easy stop if travelling thru and not wanting to stay on the strip, but still have a gamble. This is a cheap stay at $35 standard frequented by truck drivers. I had a suite for $90. The rooms are somewhat dated... more

The Gold Strike is designed for old people and that's why I love it!! We paid only $35 for one night there. The beds were comfortable, the room was very clean, the shower was a walk-in shower with seats in it, and you didn't have to walk through the casino to get to your room! Yes, the casino is depressingly... more

If I were to say that this hotel is a piece of crap that would be a great review for them. I am in the market to stay for the least amount of money as possible and don't care about luxury (so not expecting much). The good thing about this hotel is that you'll only get and be offended for... more

Stayed there on a Thursday night, paid $35, so can't complain. It's not the Ritz or Four Seasons, the rooms were clean but handles are broken off the furniture, the old wall-mounted AC/heat creaks and groans, the carpet is frayed with fiber showing in numerous place, the 80's era TV has seven channels, the $5 alarm clock sort of works.... more

This hotel was probably the worst I have ever stayed in when visiting Las Vegas. There used to be another hotel/casino across the highway called Nevada Landing which was the one we usually stayed at, but they apparently went under. Now the Gold Strike is the only one left. What a shame. There were actual footprints dirtying the bedsheets! The... more
